Whatever happens, I hope the Democrats win. I often agree with the Republicans, but I don't think the US can survive another term of that leadership. oh sure, it won't be Bush, but I think the US needs a change to restore some balance to things.

No, completely wrong. The engine has been involved in a major impact; its dimensions would easily change. Here is a good example - an F-101 Voodoo with a J57 engine. Here is a picture of a J57:

Jack, I knew a guy who took 20 years to get through high school and he never got an award either. As far as my award, maybe part of it it was due to all the work I did showing the unbelievable mistakes that you made in all those alteration claims you did in Fetzer's book. In fact, I know that your alteration nonsense is what has kept you from speaking at another Judge or Conway conference. I mean, look at you guys now ... you all use quotes in many of your post ... you use copyrighted material without permission in your post ... and you jokers are now whining about people being quoted from this very forum. That is untrue. Several years ago I voluntarily CHOSE to make no further presentations
at either Lancer nor COPA. One year, the two groups actually fought over me, with
one calling me a traitor because I said I would appear at the other. I actually chose
on the basis of Jim Fetzer being involved...not on the basis of either group. There was
no reason to appear at either group if I had NOTHING NEW to contribute.
It is inappropriate to ridicule my education. I will stack up mine against yours anytime.
In high school, I never was graded less than "A" in any course. I graduated "with honors"
from TCU, having made only one "B"...as an undergraduate taking a grad course in CHAUCER.
I had made A's on all tests and assignments, so I asked the professor why I got a B.
His reply...you were my best student, but I reserve all my A's for my GRADUATE students.
That makes as much sense as some of the things said here.

Essentially, if a forum member who is the owner of copyrighted material posts that material here, then if another forum member quotes that material here on the forum for the purposes of comment / criticism and attributes the source of the quote, then there is no breach of copyright and a tort has not been committed. My own opinion is that the principle of non-commercial use is paramount.
If someone feels the need to post their copyrighted material here, but does not want it reproduced or quoted in any form, then they should clearly state that with the post. If another party believes it is crucial they quote the posted material, then they can approach the John or Andy, who can discuss the matter with parties involved and then make a determination on the matter.

No, I am not David - but thanks for asking.
As I said, I'm not sure but to me this appears to be a case of "fair use" for the purposes of criticism. It's attributed, only a small portion used, the poster (Bill) has not attempted to claim it as his own work, it's not being used for commercial purposes, etc. I'll let John and Andy know, and they can see if they disagree.

David, is the material something you said in a post? if so, then to the best of my knowledge that is public domain.
If it was an image or something, we'll have a close look at it but unless it had your copyright symbol attached - and preferably a statement saying that it was not to be reproduced or used outside the forum without your express permission - then I don't think there is a lot we can do.
I'd have to check with John and Andy, but I think if you post an image in the forum, then it can be used within the forum if it is a quote, regardless of a copyright mark.
I have to stress I am unsure about what can and cannot be reproduced regarding images; that is my best estimate right now.
In the meantime, could you please remove the accusation in your signature line until we clarify the matter?

That must weigh a ton or two and falling from up near the top of the towers it would have broken the concrete, pavement or made a small crater - and not be neatly sitting there, tucked-in under a scaffold, next to some undamaged poles etc.
How do you know it was the impact point? Who says it fell directly down, rather than at an angle with some forward momentum? You are just assuming these things.

Jack, I've never seen the FBI reports on the 'examination' of the soft-landing of those 'parts' and can't locate any information on them.Why would there specifically be some? You missed the points I made some time ago, so I'll re-phrase and re-state it.
Are chemtrails possible? Yes.
Have governments sprayed chemicals into the atmosphere via aircraft? Yes.
Are their legitimate reasons for such spraying activity? Yes.
Could there be nefarious reasons for such activity? Yes.
Now, the important ones:
Is there any proof that the images you show are "chemtrail" activity, rather than the mundane explanation of contrails in the right atmospheric conditions and normal aerial activity? NO.
Has anyone ever gone out and taken samples from supposed "chemtrail" activity, using the correct methods to ensure there is no contamination to the samples and that a verifiable 'chain of evidence' procedure has taken place (ensuring that the samples have not been tampered with)? NO.
Is it possible that unscrupulous people scam the unwary by producing "chemtrail" books, videos, DVDs, t-shirts, and other assorted merchandise, whilst either using their belief as a money-making opportunity or not having any belief in chemtrails at all? Yes.
When someone produces PROOF of "chemtrail" activity (which would not be hard to do, as previously illustrated), I'll take the matter seriously. Until then, I see no reason to believe that such activity is more plausible than ordinary atmospheric processes interacting with aircraft, something that has been taking place since the 1940s.

I do not know all the authors, but it might be possible that some of them were unscrupulous and less than honest in their convictions regarding chemtrail existence - but I do not believe them to be so". Instead, you act as if there are no people peddling "chemtrail" merchandise in various forms, becoming pedantic about books versus DVDs or videos, etc. You did say books, but my original statement was "books, etc".
