  1. After research in political philosopy and aesthtics in the UK, I have spent the last 16 years teaching in international schools in Spain and Italy. Throughgout this time I have been involved in values education in different ways, but principally through the coordination of the International Baccalaureat's Theory of Knowledge course. More recently, I co-wrote my school's International Citizenship course which has been running now for three years. One strand of the course examines the role of communications technology as it impacts on personal and social identity. More generally, I have been trying to develop a citizenship course that is offers a coherent response to the genuinely multi-national/cultural population of the school (currently 62 nationalities represented). As such I am interested in initiatives that are keen to explore citizenship from a trans-national perspective.
