I do not know all the authors, but it might be possible that some of them were unscrupulous and less than honest in their convictions regarding chemtrail existence - but I do not believe them to be so". Instead, you act as if there are no people peddling "chemtrail" merchandise in various forms, becoming pedantic about books versus DVDs or videos, etc. You did say books, but my original statement was "books, etc". Have governments sprayed chemicals into the atmosphere via aircraft? Yes. Are their legitimate reasons for such spraying activity? Yes. Could there be nefarious reasons for such activity? Yes. Now, the important ones: Is there any proof that the images you show are "chemtrail" activity, rather than the mundane explanation of contrails in the right atmospheric conditions and normal aerial activity? NO. Has anyone ever gone out and taken samples from supposed "chemtrail" activity, using the correct methods to ensure there is no contamination to the samples and that a verifiable 'chain of evidence' procedure has taken place (ensuring that the samples have not been tampered with)? NO. Is it possible that unscrupulous people scam the unwary by producing "chemtrail" books, videos, DVDs, t-shirts, and other assorted merchandise, whilst either using their belief as a money-making opportunity or not having any belief in chemtrails at all? Yes. When someone produces PROOF of "chemtrail" activity (which would not be hard to do, as previously illustrated), I'll take the matter seriously. Until then, I see no reason to believe that such activity is more plausible than ordinary atmospheric processes interacting with aircraft, something that has been taking place since the 1940s. Two Chemplanes were flying a parallel formation only a few hundred yards apart, leaving two parallel trails. Abruptly, each changed course about 25 degrees, with one flying westward, and the other flying northwestward, forming a giant Y in the sky. By the time I finished my task and went for my camera, the trails had dissipated into scattered cirrus clouds. I wonder whether Chempilots do such maneuvers on their own. Jack That goes back to the second question which was how do you know they weren't at different altitudes? Do you have radar to check? You do realize of course that it is impossible to tell if two planes are at the same altitude with the naked eye right? They could have been 5,000 feet apart for all you know. Another possibility is they were military aircraft leaving normal contrails. That also is known to happen from time to time. How do you know they weren't normal contrails? Did you test them? Officially the SR-71 was retired because they could use satellites to provide enough coverage. Of course satellite orbits are known and objects can be covered or hidden when they pass. I think the retirement had a lot to do with budgetary concerns as the SR-71 was extremely expensive to operate. As for the Aurora, if it exists, would it have to be hard to see visually? It is supposed to travel over 5 times the speed of sound at well over 100,000 feet. Who would see it anyway? At that altitude the human eye wouldn't be able to make it out anyway.
