I have lived all of my life in Texas, always aspiring to understand how the world works and to help improve it. Understanding the world is a full-time job I've discovered, after getting a degree in history and government and a law degree, neither of which advanced my level of understanding very far. I practiced real-estate law for 25 years, many of those as a land title researcher. I worked in Houston for 10 years in county government before moving to a small town in central Texas to retire. My husband was born and grew up in England and advanced in the merchant marine until relocating to Texas, where we met. Most of my friends, however, are people I have met through the internet. Without it, I never could have hoped to have come close to the level of education and understanding it opens up to serious students of how the world really works.
