PeterStidwill
Engineering Interact The Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge is currently producing web-based educational science material wrapped-up in a game environment. The aim is to promote science and engineering at National Curriculum Key Stage 2 (Years 5 & 6) science and technology. Key points: - It’s free! - Covers the Physical Processes and Scientific Enquiry. - Fully interactive and fun. - Can be used as an introduction, summary or revision tool, either in game or teacher mode. - Flexible use: as a group activity if you have an interactive whiteboard or projector; or individually or in pairs if not. - Extra skills developed: ICT, working as a team, planning, decision making. - Easy to use: requires minimal technical experience. We've tried to address some of the pitfalls of web-based resources, whilst offering high-quality and fun material. We'd love to know what you think of the site - all feedback and comments are most welcome. Kind regards, Peter Stidwill www.engineeringinteract.org Cambridge University Department of Engineering
