I would have given the prize to Glentoran's Matty Burrows, nominated for a backheel volley against Portadown, but he lost out to Turkey's Hamit Altintop, for his goal against Kazakhstan.

Even though he's a Glen's man, I'll not hold that against him and agree he should've won the award - it was a really special goal. I haven't looked at the top 10 yet. Was the penalty from the U20 or some such tournament - the one hit with the left foot from a right footed run up???

That was very special also - Not many of my friends had seen it and one in particular was convinced it was camera trickery. All things considered these are the 2 best goals I've seen in a long time.
