Harry J.Dean
My thoughts float back to what Might have been in Cuba after that successful revolution of M/26/7 (26th Of July Movement) US. policies violently opposed the idea Fidel Castro betrayed the ideal. Paul Brancato
What choice did Fidel have? US corporations and mobsters (are they really that different) allied against his land reform policies, so he took a hard line. The Cuban revolution is imperfect, but without Castro it would have failed entirely. At least that's my take. Compare Fidel to the rest of the scumbag dictators in that part of the world. If you could choose only between Cuba and Haiti where would you live? How about ElSalvador, Honduras, Columbia, Nicaragua? All of them long term war zones.
