Invade Cuba?

Excerpt from 1990 ms/book CROSSTRAILS

After returning from Cuba, my usual Internal Security contact, accompanied by a CIA agent called

to set up a debriefing meeting. Among other questions, they ask if I believed the Cuban people

would rise against Castro during a US. invasion of Cuba., I stated "it is my sad duty to inform

you that they will not attempt to aid in overthrowing that government." Giving the reasons,

and apologizing for having to make such an unpopular report that suggested my relatively

dangerous and "uncomfortable" mission was unsuccessful.
