LBJ talks on telephone to Jackie Kennedy on 3/25/65

Classic Americana. Guy who attended a backwater teachers college becomes a powerful arm-twister, charmer, and president. Ex-president's widow, a graduate of Miss Porter's School and Vassar College, the most admired woman in the world, the essence of charm.

All elements Americans admire and respect.

LBJ should have quit while he was ahead. Seven months after this call, the U.S. was sobering up to the first big bloody battle in Viet Nam (L-Z X-ray and L-Z Albany, Ia Drang Valley).
