Bruce Solie and the Russian report

As we know, the Russians put together a report following the assassination which placed the blame on a right wing individuals within the US security establishment.

This has been dismissed as propaganda even though it actually linked in with much of what has been learned in the following decades.

I always thought, how would they have established this anyway. The recent uncovering of Bruce Solie by Malcolm Blunt and then John Newman highlights a mole in the same team close to Angleton who may have had insight into such an insider plot at its root.

This may explain why they managed to get close to the truth.

Would Philby have given the Soviets a detailed landscape of the CIA and its key players? His defection was in Jan 63 but, it was Angleton who felt disappointed in himself to have not recognised that Philby was a double agent. Angleton descended into absolute paranoia in the aftermath. He has spent a lot of time with him, with much intelligence being shared. If they knew the Castro stuff from 60, 61 and 62, it would have given the Soviets most of the clues needed to guess that the JFKA was an inside job. Of course, its likely there were other spies and moles. And perhaps even surveillance or interceptions.
