Lori Spencer Posted January 23, 2023 Share Posted January 23, 2023 (edited) Hadn’t seen this in over 20 years when it first aired live on C-SPAN: an incredible 3-hour interview with President Kennedy’s Special Assistant Art Schlesinger Jr. about JFK, RFK, and a whole lot more. At around the 17 minute mark, he stated emphatically that Kennedy intended to end US involvement in Vietnam after cinching the 1964 election. Schlesinger goes into more detail around 56:00 when a caller asks him to elaborate further. He also talks at some length about the CIA’s operations in Cuba, and the MONGOOSE plots against Fidel Castro.
