John Simkin
I started this election predicting (mainly hoping) for a hung parliament. That now seems unlikely. However, I don’t believe the polls that are suggesting a Labour majority of over a 100. The election will be won in the marginals where a great deal of tactical voting is going on. In many cases people are being swayed by local issues. My final prediction is a Labour 30 seat majority.

Guest Stephen Turner
Labour victory by at least 50 seats. more's the pity. The really worring thing about this is if Labour does particularly badly in marginal seats, Blair can claim that they have lost middle-class support to the Tories, and need to "Modernize " even more. And so the the seemingly never ending drift to the right continues.
