I am amazed that Charles Kennedy is trying to take the Liberal Democrats to the right. The theory is that at the last election they moved to the left to get votes from Labour. This upset conservatives and therefore they have to move to the right in order to win votes from the Tories. Yeah, and how do they propose to hold onto the support of those like me who abandoned the Labour Party of Tony Blair. If they do bring an end to their progressive taxation policies and give in to the social market, I, and a large number of other defectors will support the Green Party.
