My main reason for wishing to join is that I simply enjoy learning about other cultures. It seems to me that better cultural understanding can help reduce hostilities between different peoples, and possibly reduce wars. Also, it has quite recently come to my attention that though I look caucasian, I actually have some Romani and Senegalese ancestory. I know nothing of either culture and feel it is my obligation to learn.
