Biography: Dan Collins

Background: first a journalist, then a sports agent, now a publisher. Interested in joining the forum for several reasons; firstly because, since the birth of my five year old twins I've discovered an interest in education that I never knew I had before and, secondly, (and allied to this), because I have just published a book about teaching (the diary of a British secondary school teacher) which makes hair-raising, interesting and important reading and I'd like to let your members know about it.

I have no interest in JFK (though might be made interested), a mild frisson of interest in Jack the Ripper and my main hobbies are watching cricket and rugby (union) and collecting rare American soul records from the 1960s and 1970s.
