Brian Pemberton Posted September 23, 2006 Share Posted September 23, 2006 My name is Brian Pemberton, I live in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan and am retired, having been a Baptist minister and a teacher of RE and various other subjects, including history. My reason for contacting your site is that I am trying to get a picture of population growth in the area where I live for the purposes of understanding the connections between churches and their communities in different generations. I understand that Cadoxton (the area of Barry where I live) had 128 inhabitants in 1851 or thereabouts, when Barry proper had only six houses!
