Had a look at your Image Ed.

Very hard to make anything out as the photo is so pixilated. !

Robin, your honesty is not in doubt. Thank you for taking my comment in the spirit it was meant.

this illustrates more of what I mean. As can be seen the blurs have smeared the lighter areas. When separated out (I hope it's clear enough) the aspect of the head indicates perhaps (to me) a slight tilt but not a turn.

I believe from shown below the motorcycle

policemen had their helmut straps under their chins, secure....

As shown in Altgens, when they turned, the helmut went

with the head....( also a lightened version)..

What i see in the Z-Frame is the same as the Cop on the right hand in the Altgens image you posted.

OK, Robin, having made a little animation of it and looking at what's been pointed out, I can see what you mean and while the smear from the 'jiggle' is there it does seem there is a rapid head snap to the right.. Have you got the next frame posted?

There was possibly something happening in the crowd of spectators in front of the TSBD.

Notice the direction the two SS men in the follow up car, and the other motorcycle cop are looking.

Possibly setting up a distraction for a shooter, who by this time would have had kennedy in his sights.
