McCone memo revisited

Recommended Posts

John Armstrong has just become aware of this document, which many of you

declared was a fake.

John comments:

Jack,

It was written by McCone, who I do not believe had any pre-knowledge of JFK assassination. This document is not a smoking gun, as there are far too many other documents/witnesses/examples of a CIA/LHO connection. In discussions of this document, has anyone mentioned how (Harvey) Oswald could be in Virginia and (Lee) Oswald could be in Japan for over a month at the same time in 1958??

The idea of LHO attending the language school has always bothered me. A friend recently asked me "How do you know he didn't attend?" The answer is simple. List the specific dates of his attendance, and I will show you where he was according to WC records and witness testimony/statements. Anyone who insists or even suggests that LHO attended the Monterrey language school is demonstrating his lack of knowledge and understanding about the JFK assassination and about LHO's day to day activities while in the Marine Corps.

John

John would like comments from any researchers. Thanks.

Before John embraces this document because it supports his theory, he should read Gary Buell's blog on the document, here

Yes, Jack, we hope that John Armstrong connects with John Simkin so he can join the forum and fill us in.

The document wasn't written by McCone. It was written by Gregory Douglas and his cell of ex-CIA psychological warriors and disinformation specialists.

I find it hard to believe that John Armstrong would accept that fake McCone document as genuine, for all the reasons outlined by Doug Horne to Prof. Fetzer as well as what Gary Buell has in his blog (per Pat's suggestion) along with the threads on this forum that deal with Gregory Douglas, his book and the so-called "Zipper Documents."

And he also has trouble with Oswald attending Monterey Language Institute (now the Defense Language Institute), when a Warren Commission attorney, reading from a military record, is quoted as saying, "We'll have to find out what he studied at Monterey."

Certainly he was looking at a military record of Oswald's that we don't have today, but he didn't make that up.

While we do know other characters who attended both Monterey (Michael Griffith) and Quantico (Jessica Wilcox - Candy Jones), if Oswald was at either place, both students and teachers would recall him whether there was a record of him being there or not. And if Oswald had been at Quantico, McCone certainly wouldn't put that in any document.
