Paul, you are correct. I got KPFA confused with KPFK, the Pacifica station in Los Angeles on which I have appeared and which frequently has the authors of TrineDay books as guests. Hopefully, forum members will come up with some additional ideas for promotion of books.

Promoting books by Forum members I would like to start a topic on the forum of devising a formula for promoting the sale of published books written by forum members. There are a number of members who have published books on the JFK assassination and on other timely subjects. Perhaps we can use our collective heads to develop a formula for promoting these books. Such a formula could be used to promote books already published and those in the future. Donald Jeffries’s book, “Hidden History: An Expose of Modern Crimes, Conspiracies and Cover-ups in American Politics”, has just been published. Let’s use his book as an example of devising a means of promoting it. Once a formula is devised for it, the same can be use for promoting any member’s book in the future. To start off, this is what I would suggest: 1) Create a page on Facebook devoted solely to the book. Ask Facebook members to “like” it. 2) Create four two-minute videos to be placed on YouTube. Each would focus on a different aspect of the book’s contents. 3) Inquire of radio programs if they would be interested in interviewing Donald, the author --programs such as coastocoastam (with 10 million listeners) and Pacifica radio station KPFA that reaches the greater Los Angeles area. 4) Write objective reviews that would be posted on Amazon. Please add any ideas you have for promoting members’ books. This presents an opportunity for broadcasting to a larger audience the views of forum members.

Paul: Two of Judyth's books, "David Ferrie" and "Me and Lee", are on Amazon's top 20 JFK conspiracy books as is "Dr. Mary's Monkey", which is aligned with Judyth's claims. Actually these three books are in the top 7 sellers. They are published by TrineDay, which has a good relationship with Los Angeles Pacifica radio station KPFA. When "Watergate Exposed" was published by TrineDay, I appeared several times on KPFA to talk about the book and Watergate. If you and I were in charge of finding persons to interview on KPFA, we might invite Judyth as her books sell well and she presents controversial viewpoints. In the past I have listened to KPFA programs and many dealt with controversial subjects. This engenders a larger listening audience and is part of the presenting a market place of ideas with the listener making the final determination what to believe or not. France at the present time is caught up with the idea of preserving "freedom of speech" in light of recent events there. Here is an virtually unknown aspect of JFK: How he first became interested in UFOs. He was on the Board of Overseers of Harvard University in 1957 and established a professional relationship with Prof. Donald Menzel at the University. Menzel, an astronomer, was the nation’s most outspoken debunker of UFOs but in reality he led a double life and worked closely with the NSA and its predecessor on the subject as he was actually a believer in UFOs. Menzel told JFK that once the latter had received his top security clearance, the two could talk. JFK just prior to his assassination wrote a letter to the CIA to request information it had on UFOs. This is a truly interesting thread to read with a number of the comments showing deep research into Judyth's claims. I found Patrick Block's cogent comment (#40) to be a particularly sophisticated argument as to why she should not be written off completely as a purveyor of falsehoods. One thing is certain: Judyth is extremely active and is constant presence for good or for bad in the JFK assassination controversy, sort of a one-woman band.

Skolnick in his interview focuses attention on the book, "Farewell America": From one of the reviews: The introduction or Forword is by William Turner, who was an FBI guy with ties to Jim Garrison. Turner helped locate an overseas opy of the Zapruder film. This was important because no one had seen it before in public. Only a few pictures were published in the mainstream media. When people saw it, it seemed evident that Kennedy's headshot was from the front (Grassy Knoll area). Farewell America" discusses this and even has a map on the location of the shooters. This is important because this was written a long time before the public realized the truth of these statements. Turner also had access to Kennedy people and has written about similar things in FBI circles before. All in all a fascinating book I cannot endorse enough.
