  1. They are significant both independently, and cumulatively. Korth has been discussed on this forum, fairly well I'd say, although perhaps un-remarked upon are some key facts, not least of which may be his week-long stay at Bethesda Naval Hospital in October 1963. https://content.time.com/time/subscriber/article/0,33009,830484,00.html In addition, the connective tissue between he and Ekdahl is I think, if I recall, Edward R. Finch, whose grandson became Nixon's son-in-law. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_R._Finch There will be more to come no doubt. Now then, Harold Brown should be understood. Read Strobe Talbott on that for insights. https://content.time.com/time/subscriber/article/0,33009,969092-4,00.html See Talbott, Endgame: The Inside Story of SALT; see also Talbott, The Master of the Game; Talbott, Deadly Gambits. Note that Talbott's uncle was Secretary of the Air Force during Eisenhower before getting into a beef with Robert Kennedy, and before his wife plummeted out their New York apartment in 1962. https://content.time.com/time/subscriber/article/0,33009,866537,00.html https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-akron-beacon-journal-harold-talbott/6830210/ Anyhow, Brown was a McNamara guy, a MITRE guy, ARPA. What Tippit -- who may have been more than a mere cartoonist -- was doing for him is surely important. Anyway Brown became Carter's SecDef in '77. That's important. Same time as John McMahon became Stan Turner's right hand at CIA, and all that emphasis on SIGINT over HUMINT. If you don't understand how John McMahon yet fits in, read here: https://www.cia.gov/readingroom/docs/CIA-RDP90-00965R000302330042-8.pdf As I remarked elsewhere on this thread, the fundamental issue behind the assassination, indeed the key to understanding it, is the so-called mole in the U-2 program. John Newman understands this but has misidentified the mole, perhaps on purpose. It's not Solie. We can pick up on this more tomorrow.
  2. Everyone getting the picture as to why the anonymous call in November 1963 -- probably from Elizabeth Bentley -- to Tina and J.D. Tippit in Connecticut was so problematic?
  3. So, if you're following here, Navy Secretary Fred Korth was attorney in Oswald's mother's divorce and J.D. Tippit -- of Connecticut -- worked as assistant to Air Force Secretary Harold Brown.
  4. The Bridgeport Post Bridgeport, Connecticut • Wed, Sep 22, 1965 Page 22 'Westport Cartoonist Chosen I By AF for European tour Jack D. Tippit, of Westport, nationally syndicated cartoonist, 'and a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force Reserve, has been selected by the Department of the Air Force to participate in a special 16-day tour to observe Air 'Force operations in Europe. ; Col. Tippit and other Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard officers will report to Washington, D.C. on Oct. 1 and leave the following morning to visit major headquarters and "representative Air Force bases in France, Germany, Italy and Great Britain. Col. Tippit presently is assistant to the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, Headquarters USAF, in Washington with duty in the Office of Information as art editor of Airman Magazine, the official journal of the Air Force. He also serves as Deputy chief of Graphics division for the Command Services unit and has -been active in the Air Reserve forces for the past 23 years. Col. Tippit served on active duty from 1942 to 1946 during World War II flying 45 combat missions as a B-24 pilot in the southwest Pacific, and again during the Korean conflict from 1951-1953 as training aids officer and qualifying as a jet pilot. Col. Tippit writes and draws the popular syndicated cartoon feature, "Amy," which appears daily in newspapers throughout the United States and also papers in Canada and Europe. .In addition to producing "Amy," he has been a magazine cartoonist for 18 years. He has been named to Look magazine's "top ten" annually for the past several years and was voted the Top Magazine Cartoonist of the Year by the National Cartoonists Society in 1964. A native of Lubbock, Texas, Col. Tippit was graduated from Syracuse university in 1949, following military service. He has been a resident of Westport since 1958 and lives at 164 Newtown Turnpike with his wife, Tina, and two children. He is a member of the Westport R o t a r y club. The Tippit's son, Steve, 14, and daughter, Teresa, 11, are students at the new Coleytown Junior High School. https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-bridgeport-post-tippit/2483919/ Perhaps someone here could upload the article image, which has a nice picture of Connecticut's J.D. Tippit?
  5. Query: Was it imperative for the Oswald Project that US-USSR cable and mail traffic be open to both sides? That is, we read their mail, they read ours, and we know that they read ours and they know that we know that we read theirs?
  6. Here, see "Tommie": https://reopenkennedycase.forumotion.net/t1376-understanding-lee 3. “Tommy, can you hear me? I’m the Acid Queen” These are two lines from the Who’s 1969 rock opera, Tommy, about a deaf, dumb, and blind pinball wizard. The Acid Queen is a woman hired by his family who tries to restore his senses, either by dosing him with LSD or having sex with him. The song isn’t quite clear. https://jaideepvarma.medium.com/murder-most-foul-293dcf218af2
  7. Now, I am evidently out of attachment space on the forum here and as I don't wish to delete what images I have already uploaded, I will then direct readers here to attachments I have posted elsewhere, on Twitter. First, is the call from Claire Boothe Luce to Colby in 1975 -- just before his firing -- in which she tells Colby that Oswald infiltrated her band of Cubans in Florida as a counterintelligence operation and that then the "anti-Castro" Cubans turned that around and did a counter-intel op on him.
  8. They were perpetuating the story that Oswald shot both Tippit and Kennedy and that they know nothing about that or that they know anything to do with what may have been done to create the Oswald legend. I'm not sure where you're getting hung up.
  9. Further to this question, I would suggest reading and chewing over the penultimate paragraph of Moynihan's letter to Richard Gid Powers which I have posted here: Let me now introduce the thought that a strategy was developed as to how to deal with the extremes on right and left during cold war, which was to expose America to ideologies more or less alien to the country as a whole, in order that an anti-virus capability develop. Saying that however is not to say that extremes of both sides -- which is really after all one side, "authoritarianism" -- have not sought to exploit this "controlled burn" strategy for their own benefit. And this strategy moreover was undertaken by persons on both West and East sides, in secret agreement.
  10. "The Tippits of CT are very much involved in perpetuating that story." I'll even revise that to "may be very much involved." You've made an assumption that they are not. My point is that there are reasons to question that assumption.
  11. uh ... because obviously she is linking the Tippits of CT to Tippits of TX and knows some things about Oswald's back story that could blow the entire assassination story. The Tippits of CT are very much involved in perpetuating that story.
  12. Hersey, too, author of Hiroshima, was instrumental of course in creating the JFK hero legend in the first place with his piece in The New Yorker on PT-109, wherein Kennedy tows McMahon to safety by his teeth. Somewhere on the web, maybe here in fact, someone has put together that the Oswald psych report in Warren Commission reads more or less exactly as a 1949 study on a troubled delinquent in NYC. Will see if I can find and post here.
  13. Yes, I was waiting here, watching, for someone to put that together and since no one seemingly did, thought it best to join in and at least make that point.
  14. "Why could the Tippett caller not have been directing attention AWAY from a European-American neo fascist source for the assassination? " This is a good question and one that should be considered. Was Bentley in some way set up to take the bait to make this call?
  15. source for Moynihan on Oswald: https://www.thecrimson.com/article/1967/3/25/moynihan-foresaw-oswald-death-warned-officials/ http://exhibits.library.umass.edu/scua/s/diana-mara-henry/item/164 https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/opinions/1991/12/29/the-paranoid-style/1cd14520-19ca-4578-898a-f410fc1d26a5/ See also Moynihan's introduction to his 1974 book "Coping: On The Practice of Government" which was originally intended to have been written with Edward Jay Epstein -- for whom Moynihan opened doors for ever since their being together in 1965 at MIT-Harvard Joint Studies program. Note as Moynihan tells the story he went around with Bob Macey, head of US Civil Service. This is important. Macy (and Maurice Stans, later of Watergate fame) had budgetary authority over covert programs in 50s. Search CIA's CREST database for more on this. Eg: https://www.cia.gov/readingroom/docs/CIA-RDP85B00803R000100040070-3.pdf "I sincerely doubt RFK put Ruby up to anything in this case." I don't think you understand then the true parameters of what was at issue during the Kennedy Admin, the assassination, and after. The issue is the mole in the U-2 program. When that is understood, the various angles of the persons involved become clear. We can discuss further. Yes typos as to Tippit or Tippet. The highlights were made specifically by me for posts on Twitter, for my account there: I suggest following hashtags #WhoWasJohnMcMahon #WhoIsBernieMcMahon #MoynihanWasDeepThroat Thanks you.
  16. If this is correct, that the Tippets of CT sold out Elizabeth Bentley, I would not have put any faith in Tina Tippet explaining to you John Kowalski any more than what was already in the 1963 FBI report. And all the more now, since Tina Tippet is deceased.
  17. You might be interested to know that J.D. Tippit's brother, btw, the J.D. from Connecticut I mean, had a brother Wayne, who was an actor, and played an FBI agent in Stone's JFK. The alleged J.D. Tippet boy -- the one from Texas I mean now, Charles Allen Tippet, was a spitting image of Wayne, the Hollywood actor, the brother of the CT J.D. Tippet. At the most basic level, for now, the point is this: The Tippet's of CT are much closer to TX than they have let on and they are much closer to covert operations (AF reconnaissance certainly and possibly too the Flying Tigers, eg) than they have let on.
  18. In addition, as I posted on page 4 of this thread, Tina Tippet's son, who died in 1980, married -- in Lubbock, Texas -- a girl Kendrick, the daughter of a USAF Lt. Col, who had in the 50s been involved in the overhead reconnaissance programs -- CORONA, U2, AQUATONE, as well as having been stationed in Turkey in 1962 at the AFB where the Jupiter missiles at issue in Cuban missile crisis were located. Now, as to the goings-on surrounding the young Lee Harvey Oswald(s) in the 1940s, in NY, TX and elsewhere, Marguerite Ekdahl's 1944 diary, which Edwin Albert Ekdahl's attorney Fred Korth -- Navy Secretary under JFK after Connally -- demanded be returned in their 1948 divorce proceeding, may shed some light. WC, p. 786: https://www.google.com/books/edition/Investigation_of_the_Assassination_of_Pr/n7hFAQAAIAAJ?hl=en&gbpv=1&dq=Ekdahl+fred+korth+"1944+diary"&pg=PA786&printsec=frontcover
  19. Christina Tippet Brown was born Christina Eller. In Texas. Jack Dempsey Tippit is also from Texas. They were married in Lubbock, TX. The 1963 FBI report, as well as the Norwalk Hour article from 11/25/63 apparently, both state that J.D. Tippet in CT is a "distant relative" and the memo says that that is what Tina Tippet told the caller at the time. I realize Tina Tippet in her conversation with you denies meeting the TX J.D. Tippet and his supposed wife Marie. I am not aware of any birth record for the Texas J.D. Tippit, or any confirmation as to his actual given names. (It was not "Jefferson Davis" and no, it could not have been just "J.D.".) In addition, I would point out that Marie Tippit's brother, Robert Gasway, or is it Gazzaway?, was involved with the Flying Tigers, run more or less by Marie Chennault and Claire Booth Luce, both I think out of the Westport area in CT at one time or another. I don't think you're understanding the ramifications of the Bentley call. Somebody may have sold Bentley out -- she was dead merely days later -- and that somebody could have been the Tippets of CT. Likewise, the call could have been intercepted by ... the US Justice Department? Robert F. Kennedy was in fact running a wiretap program with the CIA against columnists Allen & Scott, possibly others -- the actual Project Mockingbird, not what Carl Bernstein wrote about in 1977. BTW, might RFK have wanted Oswald silenced after 11/22? Something to think about. In any case, Tina Tippet, the model, playwright, and all around society dame of CT, possibly sold out Elizabeth bentley and probably also obscured her relationship to the Tippets/Gasways in Texas, among other things.
