Tim Gratz Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Fifty years ago today ran the first episode of "Leave it to Beaver." There are TWO connections to the Kennedy case. Today, of course, is also the fiftieth anniversary of the Sputnik.

Barbara Billingsley, who played Beaver's mother, was once married to the nephew of Sherman Billingsley. His son-in-law was Alexander Rorke who was involved in several plots to kill Castro, including one of the earliest, as later chronicled by Andrew St. George.
