Fifty years ago today ran the first episode of "Leave it to Beaver."

There are TWO connections to the Kennedy case.

Today, of course, is also the fiftieth anniversary of the Sputnik.

The seats in the limo were lumpy.

If the crossfire failed, the fallback plan was to use a cleaver.

And Sputnik was referenced in most JFK orbituaries.

Much more direct.

Beaver's friend was played by David Talbot's brother.

Barbara Billingsley, who played Beaver's mother, was once married to the nephew of Sherman Billingsley. His son-in-law was Alexander Rorke who was involved in several plots to kill Castro, including one of the earliest, as later chronicled by Andrew St. George.
