Mark Stapleton
I hope this goes to trial. During the Presidential campaign would be best. Redstone's comment that the Republicans are better for big business is outrageous, leaving the so-called integrity and independence of the media looking like a joke. Media owners are part of big business, so Redstone should really have said 'the Republicans are better for us', because that's what he meant. Norman T. Field
An interesting article on Dan Rather and the Bush National Guard story that ended his career with CBS.Dan Rather's Last Stand: The Newsman's Crusade to Save His Reputation New York Magazine by Joe Hagan November 25, 2007 http://nymag.com/news/features/41283/ There have been rumors for years that Dan Rather was a 'company' man, so I watch this case with interest as Rather may be performing as instructed by those folks. Ever notice that whenever the company is mad at the president (Nixon, Carter, Shrub) oil prices sky rocket? Just a coincidence I am sure.
