John Simkin Posted February 3, 2009 Share Posted February 3, 2009 If you type in "Ku Klux Klan" at Google the first three results are: (1) The official KKK website, (2) the Wikipedia entry and (3) my page on the organization. http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/USAkkk.htm Since Barack Obama was elected I have noticed a lot more visits to my KKK page. I get a lot of abuse from white racist about my history of the organization. However, some of these visitors are not very bright and do not, or are unable, to read the text on the page. This morning alone I have had three applications for membership. John- I have lived in the South for 45 years and have never met or even seen a Klan member. There are still some in existence, but they bascially are a non-issue. Sure, they will get a permit to march someplace every so often, but we Americans are considerably more concerned about Crips, Bloods, Gangster Disciples and Traveling Vicelords than the Klan. I don't find it objectionable that he used the term "white niggers" at all. The Irish, at one time, were proud to be called the "niggers of Europe," and we still use the term "n rigged" to refer to a patchwork repair job on anything that keeps it working, not insulting at all. Dick Gregory wrote a book called "n," and while it is a buzz word that calls attention, like xxxx, it's easier for a black person to call another black person a n than it is for a white person to use the term in public. As for the KKK, they were the most FBI infiltrated group, maybe after the FPCC, and as many as half of the members of a KKK group would file FBI reports after some meetings, to the point it almost became a joke. When the KKK reigned however, many blacks (and Northern whites who supported the Freedom Riders in the 60s) were murdered, some hung in public for just looking at a white women (ie Emmett Till), and the failure of the local police and DA and States to adequately investigate and prosecute these crimes is stilll an issue with the Emmett Till Bill in Congress. The only way to prevent President Obama from being assassinated by KKK nuts or more sophisticated covert operatives is to solve the still univestigated civil rights murders of the 60s, and prosecute those responsible. Political assassination is the major threat against our national security because of the failure of the justice system to properly prosecute those responsible for such crimes. BK I agree with the bolded statements. I hope that the FBI continues to infiltrate the Klan. Every several years they will get a permit and march, which is rather comical because law enforcement has to protect them from angry protesters. Without their police protection, they would be hanged.
