John Dolva
wiki : "Presidio Heights Attack On 11 October 1969, a man entered the cab driven by Paul Stine at the intersection of Mason and Geary Streets in San Francisco requesting to be taken to Washington and Maple Streets in Presidio Heights. For reasons unknown, Stine drove one block past Maple to Cherry Street; this passenger then shot Stine once in the head with a 9 mm, took Stine's wallet, car keys, and tore away a section of Stine's bloodstained shirt tail. He was observed by three teenagers across the street at 21:55, who called the police while the crime was in progress. They observed the man wiping the cab down before walking away towards the Presidio*, one block to the north." presidio then was a military installation. See topographic map linked to above. John Dolva
So, considering the military similarities, navy. Water proximity, the VA-146 logo and the air bases being in california. Could it be that the Zodiac Killer was ex navy from one of these squadrons? It was the first Zodiac letter in nearly three years and its arrival sparked a renewed attempt by San Francisco police to catch him. To mark the occasion, I have updated the Zodiac Magazine Rack with a story about the investigation from the April 1974 issue of San Francisco Magazine. > Click the image below for an amazing late-1960s aerial view of the neighborhood in San Francisco where the Zodiac killed cab driver Paul Stine: To the right is the naval installation I hypothesise that the ZK traversed to get to the beach. Terri Williams
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGcA-snbap0 The voice of the Zodiac, reconstructed from the memory of the operator who spoke with him on July 5, 1969. You will find the voice at 32:12 minutes and 32:36 minutes of the video. And his name is NOT Richard Gaikowski.
