Nathaniel Heidenheimer Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Not to mention Lancaster's role in The Sweet Smell of Success. This 1957 movie was seen as a pretty direct attack on Hoover's favorite tabloid tattlers, most specifically Walter Winchell, I think. Pretty bold move for 1957. Also noteworthy is the fact that director of Executive Action was among those on the Hollywood Blacklist during the 1950s. A good fact to throw at the young who have been brainwashed by all of the left-gatekeepinga around the Kennedys.
