Mayor Earl Cabell and other officials and attempted to persuade them

to route the President's motorcade through the Negro area of the

city .... The request was flatly rejected ... probably a deciding

the Negro area it would have detoured away from the ill-fated triple

My question is: Did any JFK motorcade ever drove through a Negroe area?
