William Kelly
I don't know where to put this, but I think its an important breaking and relevant story and have posted the original report and first follow ups at: Center/Study of Political Assassinations: Texas Prosecutor Killed JFKCountercoup2: Texas Prosecutor Killed It's relevant to JFK because it demonstrates how the system functions or is supposed to function when a law enforcement officer is killed, as was Officer J.D. Tippitt on 11/22/63. It is also relevant in the sense it happened near Dallas, and Dallas DA, Craig Watkins, although out of jurisdiction, is a lead player in that neck of the woods, and has already been misquoted as saying there have been arrests. Maybe there should be rewards for JFK and Tippit too?
Len Colby
What exactly is your point? The cases happened nearly 50 years apart and in different jurisdictions so the notion that what was happened in one should have happened in the other doesn't hold up. And what exactly was done in response to the prosecutor's murder that you think should have been done in 1963?

Well, in 1963 they should have solved both cases locally - JFK and Tippit's murders, and since they are still unsolved homicides, the DA today would be responsible.
