Interview: ARRB's Deputy Director + Judge, THOMAS E. SAMOLUK

Recommended Posts

Good Day.... This is the audio recording of an interesting 11-22-13 interview accomplished with the ARRB's Deputy Director (and a judge), THOMAS E. SAMOLUK.
Interestingly, in 1996 Mr. SAMOLUK stated to researcher VINCE PALAMARA that when Mr. SAMOLUK had been speaking directly with JFK's White House Aide and very good friend, DAVID POWERS, that POWERS, "agreed with your take on the Secret Service"....

Don,

I listened to the first 20 minutes of this broadcast and I have to say it's really difficult to hear the "half - truths" every couple minutes and the quoting of facts that aren't facts at all. At the very beginning the host, Dan Rea, mentions off handily, "we'll probably never solve the Kennedy case" - this remark might have soured me from the get go.

Example:

About the 15:00 min. mark, Oswald's supposed trip to Mexico is mentioned. They mention that "there were" audio tapes of phone calls taken from the embassies that Hoover talked about right after the assassination and then they lament that the CIA claims that the tapes were destroyed routinely.

To me, this is dishonest. Not mentioned: It's debatable whether Oswald was ever in Mexico City and quite probable that another person was posing as Oswald there. Hoover's conversation was the day after the assassination with Johnson and he tells Johnson that his FBI guys have listened to the tapes. Hoover also mentions that it's quite possible that the voice on the tapes are of an impostor of Oswald.

I'm not really surprised. I have read elsewhere that most of the Board Members of the ARRB had little knowledge of the actual facts of the case. This interview bears that out.
