Douglas Caddy
There is a new and worthy book on the Kennedy assassination, He Was Expendable. Written and meticulously researched over a seven year period (1,664 endnotes) by author James Kelleher, He Was Expendable analyzes a series of national security, political, and bureaucratic cover-ups that had the impact of making it extremely difficult to determine the who and why behind JFK’s murder. The protection of state secrets, political careers and reputations, and bureaucratic power and influence were more important considerations than determining what really happened in Dealey Plaza on November 22, 1963. As a result, a thorough investigation of the assassination was blocked because in the last analysis, John F. Kennedy was expendable. Dr. Cyril Wecht, Professor G. Robert Blakey, and Ron Goldfarb, attorney and literary agent, all gave the book favorable “book blurbs.” He Was Expendable is available at Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble in both ebook and print versions. David Andrews
Kudos to the author for paraphrasing the title of John Ford's WW II PT boat movie, They Were Expendable. Doubtless a film Kennedy saw, Edited September 24, 2018 by David Andrews
