Tom Gram
Biden ordered that NARA digitize the entire JFK Collection in his Dec. 2021 letter. NARA’s initial plan listed a tentative date of completion of May-August 2023: https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/nara-jfkco-digitization-plan.pdf We all knew that estimate was never going happen, but have there been any updates on this? One of the items in the plan was to start a Citizen Archivist mission on the JFK Collection, and it looks like they’ve done that, but there’s barely anything on there and half the links don’t even work: https://www.archives.gov/citizen-archivist/missions/jfk-mission If NARA ever puts the entire collection online, we’ll see the biggest leap forward in overall understanding of the assassination since the ARRB. The remaining redactions are the only thing that gets any attention, but this would have a much bigger impact on research, IMO.
Jean Ceulemans
On the Citizen Archivist Mission, they created the frame so the rest is up to volunteers. It could be the JFK-case just isn't very popular among those volunteers. The JFK Assassination Records Collection is listed as an "Outside the Box" mission, together with e.g. Chinese Heritage.
