George W. Bush is a lame duck president. The vice-president knows what to do with ducks: you go duck hunting. Think of the political advantages, aside from the ones already noted of War with Iran just prior to the U.S. elections.

Bush is supposed to be a photogenic PR agent for the real head of government, Mr. Dick Cheney. Instead Bush spends his days putting his foot in his mouth, dreaming of roast pig, and waiting for the next White House bi-sexual tryst.

With Bush out of the way, President Cheney could appoint Condi Rice as his vice-president, from which vantage point she would have time to campaign for the next U.S. presidential election. It would throw a wrench into the workings of the Katrina crowd: she's black. It would throw a wrench into the Hillary crowd: she's a woman. A Hillary-Condi Rice contest could be billed as the "rich white bitch" against the "hard-working black chick". And don't expect any 'Truth movement' with a Bush assassination--that ilk can't stand him, and, anyway, did Bush conspire in his own assassination?

We learned from the Kennedy assassination that a slain president is eulogized for 50 years. Bush could be turned into the Wise Statesman who pushed the U.S. into the direction that was required in the 21st century--the Man Who Saved Us from the Moorish Menace.

The difficulty here is the assassination itself, and not that of supplying the Iranian connection. In Bush's increasingly paranoid state, he has turned cunningly cautious, and thinks even members of his own administration are out to get him. Clearly he has to go. Laying the Iranian connection is a piece of cake. For months we have had a group of Farsi-speaking Israelis laying a trail of credit card purchases at gunshops, chemical supply houses, Muslim bookstores, and strip clubs--insulting people everywhere they go so they will be sure to be remembered.

As a separate matter, we have a group of good Iranians being trained in military techniques of urban warfare, for possible use inside Iran. And, of course, a few kooky bad Iranians to serve as patsies. If necessary we could have the bad Iranians infiltrate the good Iranians and do the job under the guise of an exercise. Like stick a patsy with a rifle in the window of a high building for show, and get Libby to bring in a professional hit team from the Ukrainian-Israeli-Russian mafia. Also with NSA now firmly under our control, we can lay a false trail of wire transfers. Three assassination scenarios are described in detail in the attached document.

Finally, purely as an interesting aside, Bush's brain, if it survives intact, will be rushed to the Philosophy Dept. at Oxford University for their brain-in-a-vat studies. If the intended project is successful, Bush's brain will still think he is president, and will spend euphoric days bathed in dopamine, and seeing, smelling, and tasting German pig and Condi's strap-on. If unsuccessful, Bush's brain could be caught up in a time loop, much like sailors in the Philadelphia Experiment, and spend the equivalent of millions of years reliving the moment of the assassination. Condi won't care much, one way or another. Meanwhile, hot damn! We'll teach those Iranians a lesson.

Peter, have to disagree here, the Bush administration may be many things(far right, neo liberal, uber capitalist puritans perhaps) but they are NOT fascist's. If the real deal ever does turn up you will know them from the trail of dead. What I think the Neo-cons are doing is a softening up process, instilling daily fear, and a hatred of "The other" That makes an unoposed fascist take over of America more likely. In Britain the main benificiaries of Blair's worship of the free-market, and imperialist doodlings in Iraq have been the far right, and this guy used to call himself a Socialist

How many died in Vietnam 64-68? does that make Johnson a nazi, how about Citizens, and british soldiers killed in Northern Ireland, 69-96?does this make Wilson, Heath, Callaghan, Thatcher and Blair Fascists. (Ok I will give you Thatcher ) Your mixing apples, and oranges, Fascist administrations in Germany, Italy and Spain during the years 1930-1945 were directly responsible for more than 50million deaths. Bush is a bad man, and a terrible leader, but he is not even a watered down fascist. If he were you would be in custody about now, getting the rubber truncheon treatment.

Fascist regimes are different from military style dictatorships, and authoritarian governments, in as much as they actively seek to not to exclude, but rather enlist the masses. Lets try a definition. "A form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline, humiliation or victimhood, and cults of unity, energy and purity. In which a mass based party of commited nationalist militants, working in uneasy, but effective collaberation with traditional elites abandons Democratic liberties and pursues, with overwhelming violence, and without ethical, logical or legal restraint, goals of internal cleansing, and massive external expansion."

I repeat, attempts to label the Bush Administration fascist are badly mistaken, Authoritarian might work, but not fascist.

Ok. I'll concede on Fascist. Would you consider Homicidal Maniac? Who REALLY gives a damn WHAT you call a sick individual responsible for slaughter?

I believe that Bush, is in no small way totally insane, unlimited wealth and power tend to do that to a resonably balanced indivdual, let alone a chronically stupid, ex? alcoholic, who has simply substituted one addiction for another. But it is important not to label every right wing, authoritarian government fascist, if we do the word looses its power to force resistance.

I thought it didn't need fine tuning....but....for most of us there is a causual way of discussion and writing and a formal one. If I were writing a formal paper or book and describing the Bush Admin. I wouldn't say they were 'fascist' en toto. They are heading that way; wanting to head that way; well along the path in that direction; sharing in much of the philosophy as that and acting more and more in sync with what I perceive as fascism [and in my opinion that is not limited to Germany and Italy and their clones during the War], but -yes- of course, clearly the long history of some measure of democracy (such as it is in limited forms) and checks and balances (holding on with but a fingernail) etc. exist yet as passive left-overs from the past, mostly. When I say the Bush Administration and people are neo-fascist I mean that is IMO their goal, their endpoint, their aim and it is a wakeup call, I hope. I do, however, think that from outside it is hard to fully imagine just how far the process has gone..... I do think that if America goes fascist for real it will not be as it was in Germany but much as described in Gross' wonderful book called Friendly Fascism...

George Orwell talks of this in the book, The road to Wigan pier, writting about fascism coming to England he said, "When it does come, there will be no jack-boots, loud hailers, and mass rallies, it will wear a smile on its face, be polite, felicitous and charming and be even more deadly for it, a bland civil servant will make the body's disappear just as efficiently."
