Douglas Caddy
From the Houston Chronicle of Wednesday January 10, 2007: JFK ASSASSINATION OFFICIAL DIES AT 86 Dr. Charles Petty, who opened the Dallas County medical examiner’s office and served as medical adviser to a U.S. House committee that reviewed President Kennedy’s assassination, died Tuesday. He was 86. Petty, a native of Seattle, was not in Dallas when Kennedy was shot in 1963. But he worked with the House of Representatives Select Committee on Assassinations in the late 1970s to review the findings. In a 2003 appearance on CNN’s Larry King Live, Petty said he concluded that Kennedy was struck by two bullets.
