James Richards
Lee Forman extracted this frame below from a film taken of a section of crowd along the motorcade route. It struck me that the man in the middle resembled John Thurman Horn somewhat, one of the men in the line-up with Oswald. It got me thinking, what do we know about this guy? How was he selected to be a part of the line-up and given his proximity to that 'Yankee Go Home' sign, was he a part of that contingent? If anyone has any background on this guy, it would be appreciated. James
Guest John Woods
James, Maybe, just maybe the DPD had their white thinking caps on and pulled their intelligence files on Horn. That would be amazing! Good work Lee! Too much research and not enough fishing! johnw

Mr. BALL. And that's Dallas? Mr. POTTS. Yes; that's in Oak Cliff. Mr. BALL. And what was he charged with--why was he in jail? Mr. POTTS. Traffic tickets--he had a number of traffic tickets. Mr. BALL. Traffic tickets? Mr. POTTS. Yes; he had a stack of them--all on the same arrest date. Mr. BALL He did? Mr. POTTS. Yes---red lights and so on. Horn appeared in Oswald's fourth lineup at 2:15 on the afternoon of the 23rd. Horn's arrest record is not in the DPD Archives. Sorrells memo to Rankin (CD 1304) does not give the date of Horn's arrest. However, as striking as the similarity is between the two individuals you mention, if Horn was already in jail on the 22nd, it's hard to see how he could be on the parade route. Steve Thomas Potts did not say when Horn was arrested, but I don't believe he was part of the Joiner contingent who were arrested at the Trade Mart.
