  1. Hi Everyone, I’ve been following this forum for quite a while now and always found it educational and insightful so recently decided to join in order to more directly engage with sone of the experts and researchers here. I recently managed to get what I was told was the only copy of “Reasonable Doubt” in the Irish library system and had a few questions regarding Henry Hurt’s work. Given the later ARRB revelations and other discoveries and information I wonder if some of these points have been refuted or if more context has been learned. Hoping authors/researchers familiar with these key areas like@James DiEugenio , @Bill Simpichand @Larry Hancock may be able to help. Apologies if this is a large post but I’d appreciate any information regarding these 12 points: 1) is Mr Hurt and members of his research team still alive, and are their archive/research materials available anywhere? 2) While Robert Easterling in general lacks credibility is there any aspect of his story that Hurt corroborated still considered viable? For example as Easterling potentially driving Oswald from New Orleans? 3) Page 168 in regards the Tippit murder Hurt quotes an unnamed officer: “Most Dallas policemen interviewed by the author either do not want to discuss the Tippit case or say that they have no reason to doubt the official version of their comrade's death. However, one officer, now retired, asserted flatly and without prompting that he believed Tippit was killed as a result of a volatile personal situation involving his lover and her estranged husband. He added, "It would look like hell for Tippit to have been murdered and have it look like he was screwing around with this woman. . Somebody had to change the tape. Somebody had to change thecartridge hulls. Some- body had to go to the property room and change those hulls and put some of Oswalds hulls in there--hulls that fit Oswald's gun. This retired police officer claims that others on the force share his beliefs about the Tippit murder--and that some of these policemen will be inclined to talk about it once they have retired and their pensions are secure.” Was this officer ever later identified, and have any other DPD members ever made similar remarks since (on or off the record)? 4) what is the current consensus on the relevance of Oswald and Ruby both having post office boxes having post office boxes at the Dallas Terminal Annex, the closure of Oswald’s New Orleans post office box, and the undelivered message to Ruby “*An odd message from Chicago for Jack Ruby reached Dallas about 9:00 AM. on Sunday. The message was from an officer of the American Guildof Variety Artists, the mob-dominated union that normally provided Ruby with strippers. The message, never delivered, from the officer to Ruby was: "Tell Jack not to send the letter today, it would be awkward in Chicago.' This was before Ruby's sudden infamy. The message has never been adequately explained.” 5) Has there been any further evidence about Louise Latham and her involvement in getting Oswald employment? “Then Mrs. Latham made several curious statements that seemed almost defensive. She said that she interviewed Oswald "five or six times" and that "I never sent him for a job he didn't get." There is no record that Louise Latham ever sent m Oswald to any job other than the one at Jaggers-Chiles-Stovall. Mrs. Latham, a well-educated woman who had worked successfully in New York and Princeton, New Jersey, before going to Dallas declined to elaborate. Mrs. Latham said that she had never been interviewed on this subject by anyone” 6) on pg 238 Hurt relays the story of an anonymous marine who served with Oswald who was recruited for intelligence purposes. Has this Marine ever subsequently been identified? “There is at least one example of U.S. intelligence recruiting a Marine out of the service in order to work in Cuba, a Marine who served with Oswald in Japan. This man, who is credible on other points, told the author in interviews between 1977 and 1982 that the cover name of the group he worked for was Security Entorcement. He and his fellow mercenaries were never sure of the identity to the real organization, although he said they believed it to be the CIA. Certainly the organizations description sounds much like that of various CIA-sponsored groups now known to have been working for the overthrow of Castro during those years. The recruit interviewed by the author is still in this kind of work and has acknowledged his recruitment on the condition his name not be disclosed. His account supports the proposition that U.S. intelligence did, at least in this one instance, recruit a Marine acquaintance of Oswald as he mustered out of the military service.” 7) how credible are Donald E. Deneselya claims about seeing a debrief report on Oswald on his return to the US? 8 ) Has anything interesting ever been discovered about the “Orthodox Old Catholic Church of North America” religious organisation that David Ferrie belonged to? 9) Has any additional evidence potentially linking Oswald to the Dodd investigation of mail order weapons ever come to light? 10) Are Judge Edward Gillian’s claim that Oswald asked him about LSD considered credible and has anything else been learned? 11) Have the photos claiming to depict a Rambler in Dealy Plaza been debunked? Hurt displays an image of Oswald with his arm around a man Marina is supposed to have described as a friend from Cuba. Hurt implies this man resembles a French OAS agent, has the man ever been conclusively identified? 12) has any additional information regarding Thomas Eli Davis and his potential involvement come to light in later years?

Page 13 Before he got taken care of, Giancana had been very big in certain circles and very big in the media. Momo had spread out from Chicago and moved into Dallas. Jack Ruby was a part of Momo’s outfit. Momo had casinos in Havana. Momo opened a casino with Frank Sinatra in Lake Tahoe. He dated one of the singing McGuire sisters, the ones who sang on Arthur Godfrey. He shared a mistress with John F. Kennedy, Judith Campbell. This was while JFK was president and he and his brother Bobby were using the White House for their own motel room. Momo helped get JFK elected. Only Kennedy then stabbed Momo in the back. He paid him back by letting Bobby go after everybody. Page 19 Castro had the nerve to actually put Trafficante in jail. I heard that Sam “Momo” Giancana had to send Jack Ruby to Cuba to spread some green stamps around to get Trafficante out of jail and out of Cuba. Page 105 Jimmy was close with Red Dorfman out of the Chicago outfit. Red got the Waste Handlers Union in Chicago in 1939, when the president of that union got whacked. They say Red had Jack Ruby with him as the other officer in the union. That’s the same Jack Ruby who whacked Lee Harvey Oswald. Red was tied in with Ruby’s boss Sam “Momo” Giancana and Joey Glimco and all the rest of the Chicago Italians. Plus Red was big on the East Coast with people like Johnny Dio. Page 117 I chatted with Barney Baker. He was 6′6″ and weighed about 350. He was a heavy eater. Believe it or not he boxed as a middleweight. He was supposed to have had something to do with getting Joe Louis to that trial in Washington. Jimmy liked him. He sold ties. He had a lot of neckties for sale all the time. Barney had a lot of balls. He’d be available to help. He was a good muscle man. He got investigated in the Warren Report thing because they traced some calls between him and Jack Ruby a few days before the Dallas matter. Page 119 Later on, when Jimmy got to know my work himself, I stayed in the room whenever something was going on. Once in a while Giancana would have a guy with him named Jack Ruby from Dallas. I met Jack Ruby a few times. I know Jimmy’s kid met him, too, at the Edgewater. Ruby was with Giancana and he was with Red Dorfman. One time we all went out to eat and Ruby had a blond with him that he brought up from Dallas for Giancana. There is no doubt whatsoever that Jimmy Hoffa didn’t just meet Jack Ruby, he knew Jack Ruby, and not just from Giancana, but from Red Dorfman, too In September 1978 Dan E. Moldea, author of The Hoffa Wars, tape-recorded a conversation with James P. Hoffa, Jimmy’s son. Moldea wrote in a postscript to his meticulously researched and reasoned book on Jimmy Hoffa and his many wars: “When I reminded [young Jimmy] Hoffa that he had told me of his father’s relationship with Jack Ruby, Hoffa confirmed [it]. Unknown to Hoffa and for my own protection I secretly tape-recorded this telephone conversation with Hoffa.” Page 121 and I wasn’t even on the last trip he made where he was even madder because his friend Santo Trafficante from Florida had been arrested by the Communists and was being held in jail. I heard a rumor that Sam Giancana had to send Jack Ruby to Cuba to spread some money around to get Santo out. Page 240-241 “That’s just the tip of the iceberg, the tip of the iceberg. Let me tell you – Dallas, did you hear that word tonight? Remember that package you took to Baltimore? I didn’t know it then, but it turns out it was high-powered rifles for the Kennedy hit in Dallas. The stupid b******s lost their own rifles in the trunk of a Thunderbird that crashed when their driver got drunk. That pilot for Carlos was involved in delivering the replacements that you brought down. Those f*****s used both of us on that deal. We were patsies. What do you think of that? They had fake cops and real cops involved in it. Jack Ruby’s cops were supposed to take care of Oswald, but Ruby bungled it. That’s why he had to go in and finish the job on Oswald. If he didn’t take care of Oswald, what do you think they would have done to him – put Ruby on a meat hook. Don’t kid yourself. Santo and Carlos and Giancana and some of their element, they were all in on Kennedy. Every single one of the same cast of characters that were in on the Bay of Pigs. They even had a plot to kill Castro with Momo and Roselli. I’ve got enough to hang everybody. And every last bit of it comes out if anything unnatural happens to me. They will all pay. All those who xxxxed me will pay.” Page 128 I met Carlos Marcello’s pilot there, too, a guy named Dave Ferrie. They later said he was gay, but if he was he didn’t make a pass at me. He still had his hair when I met him. They say he went a little nutty later on and carried a makeup kit around with him. You could tell he hated Castro with a passion, and he was very close to the anti-Castro Cubans in Florida. Page 129 The landing strip had a small plane on it, and Carlos Marcello’s pilot who I had just met at the Gold Coast, Dave Ferrie, got out of the plane and came over to my rig and directed us to back up next to some army trucks. We backed up and all of a sudden this gang of soldiers came out of a building and began unloading military uniforms and weapons and ammunition from their army trucks and loading it all onto our truck. Dave Ferrie told me that the war materiel being loaded was from the Maryland National Guard. He gave me paperwork on the load in case we got stopped. He told me to take it to the dog track in Orange Grove, Florida, outside of Jacksonville. He said I’d be met there by a guy with big ears named Hunt. Page 163 Tony Pro got up from his table and went to the back and returned with a duffel bag. He handed it to me and told me, “Go down to Campbell’s Cement in Baltimore where you went that time with the truck. Our friend’s pilot will be there. He’s waiting for this.” You didn’t have to spend all that time in combat to know you had a duffel bag with three rifles in it. I knew it was rifles, but I had no idea what it was. When I got there, Carlos’s pilot, Dave Ferrie, was there with another guy I knew from Monte’s who was with Genovese. He’s gone now, but he has a nice family. There’s no reason to bring his name into it. He said, “How’s your friend?” I said, “He’s doing good.” He said, “You got something for us?” With the tone Russell had set, I didn’t even get out of my car. I gave him the keys. He opened the trunk, took the bag, we said good-bye, and away I went home.
  3. I stumbled on a pair of images while browsing through https://texashistory.unt.edu/ They are of two scraps of paper, (front and back) alledgedly found beneath or behind Jack Ruby's Refrigerator. I cannot find any documentation that indicates the notes and scribbles were investigated.

  5. This is my first post on this forum. I tried to join years ago and was told it was closed to newcomers. Recently, a current member told me that it was now open to newcomers, so I'm glad I could join. Anyway, I've learned a lot about the JFK case through the years but then came across the photo of an Oswald lookalike in Ruby's bar which is pretty amazing: Photo of LHO Lookalike in Ruby's Club Can someone tell me if that lookalike was ever identified or when the photo was taken? Thanks.
  6. In the days when I was reading about Jack Ruby, I was sure he made a certain statement: that a new form of government was going to take over America. I could never find the source for that. But I found it in "Hit List" by Belzer and Wayne: "Well, you won't see me again. I tell you that a whole new form of government is going to take over the country; and I know I won't live live to see you another time." He said this to the Warren Commission. Was he talking about the New World Order? Where the oil barons and other people, extremely rich, and all right wing and they reign over the entire globe. I recently saw pictures of George HW Bush. He's on his way out. I hope he's proud of himself. Taking over Boston, bombs, gunfire, a dead child and one with an amputated leg. The ricin letters. An explosion at the John F. Kennedy Library, the shooting at the movie theater awhile ago. Are we getting ready to become a police state? Or begin another war? Yours Truly, Kathy C
  7. On youtube there is a piece of film footage from that day showing a Ruby lookalike and LHO. Oswald climbs over the steps. I am sure it is him. The Ruby character keeps looking towards Oswald; and LHO only got down from the steps when he saw this Ruby character. I don't think the man is Ruby. But I do believe it is LHO. http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscreen&v=3-CpuEJ8mCk If it's Ruby in disguise, maybe -- hat, dark suit jacket, more corpulent than Ruby; then that has a lot of implications here. 8. Good Day.... FYI.... http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/people/2013/02/17/jfk-assassination-newseum-lee-harvey-oswald/1918279/ <QUOTE> JFK Assassination Artifacts to get First Public Viewing More than 100 artifacts are included in an exhibit at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. PHOTO: Lee Harvey Oswald was wearing this shirt, seen in this Nov. 22, 1963, photo, when he was arrested and charged in the death of President John F. Kennedy. STORY HIGHLIGHTS Newseum exhibit of Lee Harvey Oswald items opens April 12 The exhibit contains more than 100 artifacts Collection of photos, Newseum-produced film also showing WASHINGTON — An off-white jacket. A casual long-sleeve shirt. A turquoise-and- orange wool blanket. A wallet that contains a Social Security card and family snapshots. While these relics from the early '60s sound like everyday items, they are priceless pieces of history tied to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Beginning April 12, visitors to the Newseum in the nation's capital will have the rare chance to view these never-before-displayed artifacts belonging to Lee Harvey Oswald, the presumed gunman, as part of an exhibit marking the 50th anniversary of JFK's death. Oswald, who wore the shirt and carried the wallet when he was arrested on Nov. 22, 1963, in Dallas, was himself shot and killed two days later by Dallas nightclub owner Jack Ruby, a crime that was caught live on TV. The jacket was found at a gas station near the Texas Theater, where Oswald was captured. Oswald's rifle, which was kept wrapped in the blanket in a friend's garage, was found at the Texas School Book Depository in Dallas shortly after JFK was shot. "This is a pretty incredible opportunity to work with the National Archives and be able to display these pieces," says Carrie Christoffersen, Newseum curator and director of collections. Christoffersen says the purpose of "Three Shots Were Fired," an exhibit of more than 100 artifacts, including the first UPI report about the attack on the presidential motorcade, "is to tell the story of how news media responded and how it fulfilled its responsibility to the public. It was a unique time in American and journalism history. The shooting led to unprecedented TV coverage over four days on the networks commercial-free. This was at a time when nightly newscasts had only just expanded from 15 minutes to a half-hour." A collection of photos, "Creating Camelot: The Kennedy Photography of Jacques Lowe," as well as a Newseum-produced film, A Thousand Days, will bring to life the youthful glamour that the first family brought to the White House, as well as newsworthy moments of JFK's short presidency. The exhibit, which runs through Jan. 5, 2014, will include an interactive feature that allows visitors of all ages to share the defining "JFK moment'' in their life, whether it was the bombing at Pearl Harbor or memories of 9/11. <END QUOTE> Best Regards in Research ++++Don Donald Roberdeau United States Navy U.S.S.
