Nance, wife of slain Dallas attorney Joseph T Nance, was charged with his murder Tuesday and the aggravated assault of their 22 year-old daughter, after the family was shot this weekend at the daughter's apartment in Oxford, Miss., Lafayette County Sheriff Buddy East said Mrs Nance 59, posted $25,000 bond and was in the process of being transferred to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis Tenn., East said. She had been recovering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen in Lafayette County Hospital. Nance, a lawyer for Bancshares, Inc., was pronounced dead about 12:50 a.m. Sunday, he had been shot once in the lower-left chest with a .38-caliber pistol East said. February 9, 1977 Johnson Case Informant Beaten Federal agents have intensified their investigation of the disappearance of Robert M. Johnson of Iowas park after a key informant was beaten shortly after he was subpoenaed to testify before a grand jury in Wichita Falls next week. In an affadavit signed before he was attacked, the informant named five persons from three cities who either knew of, or participated in Johnson's staged disappearance Jan 3 from a fishing boat in the Gulf of Mexico. Most, if not all, of the five also have been subpoenaed to testify before the special grand jury, which is scheduled to begin its probe Monday. Some of them have had roles in Johnson's grain storage and trucking operations. One of them is an Eagle Pass businessman on whose Mexican ranch the informant said Johnson was hiding. The informant who once was a trusted friend of Johnson's was admitted to a hospital in the Corpus Christi area Monday night for treatment after he was beaten. Port Aransas Constable Ben Cash reported. Neither Cash nor the informant could be located Tuesday. Crimaldi was a mafia hit man who testified at the trial of Tony Esposito, where he detailed Mafia activities in Chicago. Crimaldi is currently working for the FBI. February 9, 1977 Johnson Case Informant Beaten Federal agents have intensified their investigation of the disappearance of Robert M. Johnson of Iowas park after a key informant was beaten shortly after he was subpoenaed to testify before a grand jury in Wichita Falls next week. In an affadavit signed before he was attacked, the informant named five persons from three cities who either knew of, or participated in Johnson's staged disappearance Jan 3 from a fishing boat in the Gulf of Mexico. Most, if not all, of the five also have been subpoenaed to testify before the special grand jury, which is scheduled to begin its probe Monday. Some of them have had roles in Johnson's grain storage and trucking operations. One of them is an Eagle Pass businessman on whose Mexican ranch the informant said Johnson was hiding. Port Aransas Constable Ben Cash reported. Neither Cash nor the informant could be located Tuesday. The murder of David Vasquez, is not what this is about. That is post JFK Assassination, and to be blunt, more or less irrelevant in this case so far. What is pertinent, is that the photo in the Dallas Archives is dated Augugt 18, 1963... which, IS before the assassination. So the question which I cannot answer is what had this person done on August 18, 1963, which led to him having a mugshot. The last time I looked you didn't get a mugshot without doing something illegal, on the day you did it, and the historical record doesen't seem to indicate what that was..... Maybe I am naive, but in a normal repository of records related to a criminal investigation, one wouldn't even be asking this question, there would be an answer and there would be no ambiguity..... but then again, this is the JFK assassination.
