  1. The work done by David Josephs has put the final nail in her coffin. She even lied about working with LHO. So now it's back to death treats, eh? True desperation. I am a huge fan of Trine Day but Chris seems to be easily conned by Baker.

Doug (Caddy) I clicked on the link to read what Parker said about Trine day needing to be closed down and it only took me to his forum, not the post to which you referred. I could not disagree more. But I have little respect for Parker. (And know he has even less for me). So am not surprised by his voice for censorship. After all he is the only one who has the truth. Right?

Happy Thanksgiving to all here in the US.

    Dawn

I am concerned about Trine Day. Anyone who can blindly support Judyth is not living in the real world imo...

But they put out a lot of other very important books. And I am sure Kris simply believes Judyth. We used to. (Long ago.)

  2. PB: To my recollection as an historian of all things, including Judyth, I would have to say that the first time I came across this phrase was when the bullish Prof Fetzer was trying to defend Judyth on the Ed Forum long ago. So I attribute this statement to him. The rest of us are, supposedly, to 'trust' his judgment and accept this as a fact. What this represents, in fact, is a fallacy of logic called "appeal to authority", in which a person is told to 'believe' something because a supposedly credible person told him so. Dr. Fetzer, of course, knows all about fallacies of logic, as this was part of his area of expertise when he taught at UMD. So, to have a prof of logic pushing a fallacy of logic seems to defy logic imo.

Its accurate that Fetzer officially went over Niagara with his incredibly stupid defense of Baker. I actually tried to talk him out of that privately. I told him he had never investigated New Orleans on the ground, and had never read Garrison's files. So it was dumb of him to pronounce judgment on Baker when he himself had done no first hand inquiry into her. I then encouraged him to talk to someone who had done these things, and I suggested say Bill Davy.

He never did. And this is where I officially began to distance myself from Fetzer. And I also began to think something was up with him. Either that or he was becoming an egomaniac--all truth in the case had to be certified by him. When, in fact, he had made no scholarly effort to discern the truth about Baker. To my knowledge, he never even called Carol Hewett in Florida who did work on her for Sixty Minutes.

Fetzer then stayed on this wild tangent with Mary's Mosaic, Cinque, Israel's sponsorship of the JFK hit etc. In each case, it was a "test" for the JFK community. When in fact, it was really a test for how far underwater Fetzer would take himself.

Well, as David Lifton has pointed out, Fetzer's wild descent ended up (inevitably) in Holocaust Denial. As Lifton has noted, Fetzer recently wrote the intro for a British professor's book on the subject. Which got the professor terminated.

This is the kind of stuff Fetzer, who TInk Thompson called the professor from Duluth, has now descended into.

Now he's "graduated" to the Paul is dead insanity, no one died anywhere (sandy Hook, Boston etc.) Anyone who takes him seriously- and many on facebook do- is doing so at their own peril.

  4. David Talbot wrote on Facebook today (10/19/15):

Dan Rather -- who knows a thing or two about the pitfalls of telling the truth (see the new movie where he's played by Robert Redford) -- just sent this endorsement of my book "Devil's Chessboard" via my publisher:

"David Talbot has scored again with an important, good read."

    Thanks, Dan, much appreciated.

Ya, but did the sob actually READ the book? Is he ready to stop lying about the assassination of JFK, on which he built his career? I will take him seriously when that happens, but not holding my breath. "Truth" indeed.

  5. 3D Model Showed Controversial Photo of John F. Kennedy’s Assassin Is Not a Fake

Doubts surrounded the incriminating photo since Kennedy was assassinated in 1963

Please, now magic 3-D. It's not LHO, period. This is JFK assassination101.

  6. Jackie Kennedy helped this country deal with a tragedy, not with a crime. I admire her spine and grace.

Jackie had herself and her children to protect. She took a reasonable step in marrying Onassis. He could provide protection.

The saddest aspect of the Kennedy saga for me was the murder, yes murder, of JFK, Jr. Which occurred after Jackie's death. And which assured no Kennedy would seek to re-open the JFK assassination.

John: I agree with you 100%. I see some calling the Kennedy family cowards ( and worse) for not pushing for the truth. How many in this family do they wish to see murdered? One person has even gone so far as to post that they are co-conspirators. But then this person called me a co-conspirator too so I put little stock in what this person posts.

  7. New York Magazine's trendy Vulture section has decreed that David Talbot's book is one of eight must reads this month.

Boris Kachka, who created the "list" had this to say (which makes me think he didn't really read them but I guess it's hard to read eight new books a month and have time to comprehend them as well):

The Salon founder's best-known book, Brothers, found no convincing evidence of a Kennedy assassination conspiracy, and neither does this one, even though it centers on the powerful CIA director whom JFK fired and LBJ later appointed to the Warren Commission.

He either did not read Brothers or is out and out lying.

  8. Dawn,

In your view, was the JFK assassination a low-level operation, carried out solely by bottom-feeders like Liggett?

Or was it orchestrated by puppet masters who remained deep in the shadows?

I believe puppet masters could have made use of bottom feeders. But puppet masters would not have let a bottom-feeder shoot his mouth off in bars, IMO.

Of course not. I only said that segment was powerful. I hardly believe this was a low level operation. The killers are so much in the shadows we will never know who they are. I don't even try to guess. I have always focused on why it was done.

  9. Cliff is right- this is the essential point of the entire controversy. All logic, and every early account, pointed to the throat wound being one of entrance. Obviously, this presented a huge problem for those constructing the official fairy tale.

The bullet holes in JFK's clothing alone disprove the SBT. The throat wound is icing on the cake.

I remember the reports of Doctors Clark and Perry that first day. It was one of the many reasons I knew that day that it was a conspiracy.

  10. ALSO: THE AUSTRALIA CONFERENCE-

    http://www.reopenkennedycase.org/rokc-symposium-2015

Rumor mill: Judyth is working on a third book about her deep friendship with Jack Ruby.

Wow, this is becoming downright scary. I have a lot of respect for Kris and Trine Day but Judyth's bs is going off the charts. Her 4th book will be about her intimate relationship with Clay Shaw, no doubt. Then she can follow that up with a 5th best seller about how close she was to Arlen Specter. They were all in NO after all, so ...it's a natural.

    Not laughing.

    Dawn

  11. My feelings are that the conspirators had this movie in mind when putting their killing of our president together.

    More likely:

"Every now and then a man on a white horse rides by, and we appoint him to be our personal god for the duration. For some men it was a Senator McCarthy, for others it was a General Walker, and now it's a General Scott."

Exactly what I was thinking. I remember hearing ads for this film on the radio a few months after the assassination and I knew it was "about" the Kennedy assassination. If only...we had that ending. I have the book and the dvd. Great film to watch along with JFK. Happy ending vs the truth.

  12. Now for something different from the usual postings in the forum...and I mean really different. This was posted on Facebook today.

An Interview with President John F. Kennedy

OMG please. She lost me at saying the shot came out the back to the front and "JFK" saying "I can't believe my own Secret Service shot me". Fake fake fake. While I do belie that some people are legitimately psychic and I have had several experiences myself that defy explanation, I don't trust this gal for a second.

    Dawn.

  13. Cliff,

I doubt either Trump or Bernie get nominated. And as I noted in my blog article, while I agree with a lot of Bernie's rhetoric, he loves the military and our perpetual wars way too much for my liking.

We never have any true pro-peace candidates.

Don: Exactly my problem too, regarding Bernie. I like almost everything else about him but foreign policy is too important.

  14. Bernie I will say this one last f'ing time. I READ THE BOOK. I started to read it a third time and take notes which I do plan to get back to. This has gotten very ugly with all the name calling and so many of you arguing from total ignorance. I don't know why anyone bothers to argue this here. It's like arguing with a lone nutter: a total waste of time. I have kept away from this site and especially this thread yet you see fit to just throw me into it once again. I could care less what you all think on this issue. Or God. Or f'ing life. That you must continue to attack a book you all refuse to even read is actually a bit amusing if it was not so damn embarrassing.

Dawn the only reason I raise that point is to counter the accusation that we have to read the entire book before we can make a judgement. When JVB used to come on here she tried to sell her story. It was and is utter nonsense. You too may think it's nonsense. And you would have enough information from the author's own words to form your own judgement. You could ask her questions on points you find difficult to accept. If her story is true it will hold up against criticism and more and more people would be inspired to want to buy and read it. Or, as happened, the points raised will be so pertinent and so difficult to answer with any credibility that eventually her promotion of it will reveal major flaws when thoroughly questioned.

Would it be fair of her to demand that everyone reads the FULL book before making a judgement, even after she had failed to convince no more than half dozen converts?

I've asked this a few times now: what new information are we going to find in the book that hasn't been shown to us by H&L supporters on this forum or on your own H&L site?

Ok Dawn, fair do's, it was a few years ago now that you mentioned you hadn't fully read H&L, and it's a bit childish of me to keep going on about it. My apologies.

Thank you Bernie and apology accepted. Your Baker analogy is interesting but not a true analogy. JA did 12 years of first hand research, and I don't mean just looking at documents, though he also did tons of that. He tracked things, places and people down. There is no way to summarize his work as it is so incredibly detailed. People just have to read the book. When I gave the presentation for him at COPA on the 50th I had read about 70% of this LONG book. The presentation was a lot of new stuff on how Harvey and Lee figured into the Tippit shooting. It was John's work not my own. With Baker she is telling her personal story. A very long time ago, in 2004, for reasons I will not post here I believed her. Then like many others I began to dig deeper. I did read her book and it's a good read but I long ago stopped believing anything she says. She is almost like a mentally ill person to me. Her need to insert herself into this case borders on total madness. And yet many do believe her, on facebook mainly where I don't think a lot of people have done the serious reading or research. I have had to block some people there due to her. Arguments defending her and people believing that someone put glass in her food in Canada for example. Her tall tales just grow and grow. Her ego is very much involved too. John on the other hand is one of the most un- ego driven people I have ever encountered in the research community. I have been involved in this community since 1973 and know or have known most of the major players and in my opinion a lot of the bickering is ego based. I have been saddened by this my entire adult life as we are really a small group, compared to the world populace at large and I know the powers that be have been aware of all of the discord since the start. It's just one more notch in their arsenal. I had hoped after the 50th I could actually just walk away from all of this, but it has consumed so much of my life since day one that it's become like breathing almost. I hold NO conviction that the media or any government agency will ever fess up, or that things will ever improve. So I try to focus on all of the other blessings in my life to remain optimistic and happy.
