  1. Sir James,

Was Carlos Roca mentioned by Fabian Escalante as one of three Cubans that was "captured" in Guatemala?

    Dave

    Hi David,

    Nice to see you here.

Yes indeed, Escalante did mention a Carlos Roca being connected with 3 other individuals named Andre Tartabul, Julio Garcia and Sergio Perez. These guys were supposedly killed inside Cuba during September of 1963. Tartabul was the only one killed and the other 2 escaped. Sounds a bit like the Bayo-Pawley mission doesn't it?

Escalante also says that Roca was supposedly seen in Miami in the company of Juan Manuel Salvat which is a good trick for a dead man. My failing memory also thinks there was a connection to Carlos Bringuier but I will have to hunt that one down

BTW, Julio Garcia definitely didn't perish inside Cuba in September of 1963 as he showed up in Bolivia with the CIA and that idiot Felix Rodriguez on the hunt for Che Guevara. I firmly believe this was a David Morales run operation which makes Garcia's resurrection very interesting. He was working with a character by the name of Gustavo Villoldo who was a BOP veteran and an early Intelligence contact of Bernardo De Torres. Villoldo was also close with a Cuban exile named Jose Perdomo who went through the Fort Benning training with the likes Of Rodriguez and Luis Posada Carriles. Perdomo was the doorman of the Dakota building when John Lennon was shot and was seen intensely conversing with Chapman before he went postal. What a web.

You regret asking now, don't you? :)

Below is a shot of Julio Garcia and Gustavo Villoldo. I am still of 2 minds whether or not Ernesto Duenas Y El Esposo De Socorro is the same Carlos Roca because as we know, Carlos was an in-house name commonly used by the black ops guys.

  2. Do you have any info you could share about, Ernesto Duenas El Esposo De Socotto? He sure does look a lot like the so-called Frenchie Tramp.

    Hi Dixie,

Ernesto is certainly a likely customer. He was very close with Eddie Bayo and in fact was a part of the Bayo-Pawley mission (Operation Tilt). He used the name Carlos Duenas Roca and several others from what I can gather.

I do have to say that background information on him is very sketchy. Apart from going on several missions with Bayo, things like when he came to the United States and his pre Castro history is unknown.

  3. Hi Skydog,

Wim is right, ask different people and you will get different answers. I guess it's best to weight them all up and make your own decision. Personally, I feel the Doyle, Gedney and Abrams combination is the least likely.

FWIW, here is my two cents worth attached below. Having said that, Hunt for me is far from being 100%.

  4. Okay, most of my photo files are working again.

Anyway, here is a photograph of Jackie at Love Field with the white flowers. This image will eventually appear in the photo archives web site.

    Cheers,

    James

  5. However if you get Tasks much higher quality images you see with no

doubt that it's a white flower boquet.

    Yep, you're right, Larry.

I just had a hunt around and found some good examples. I'm having trouble with some of my photo folders and I can't get certain images to attach. D'oh!

And they said the computer was going to make our lives easier.

  6. Larry and Ron,

I always felt that this Robert Johnson character was a way to deflect focus away from what Hemming and Hargraves were doing.

This quote from Hargraves on the RFK assassination speaks volumes -

"Three of us from the JFK thing were on the ground at that time, here. (laughs) Fat Larry, Gerry and I. Yeah, We were here. And I pulled the operation. I don’t even know Larry is out here. I knew he was up in California, bull didn’t know he was on the ground at the time."

Fat Larry being Lawrence Howard and Gerry being Gerry Hemming. If one was going to really look into who Raoul was in the MLK killing, I believe one should start with Hargraves himself.

  7. Thanks Terry, nice of you to say.

John's efforts in making photographs and information available should be highly commended. I firmly believe the photographic record of the assassination should be available to everyone and easily accessed - not hoarded away for a select few.

Eventually we will have hundreds of photos available covering as much of the assassination as possible.

A lot of people ask whether or not the mystery of the JFK assassination will ever be solved in our lifetimes - my answer, you betcha.

  8. Hi Lee,

If I could throw my two cents worth in here, I think that the assassination itself and the cover-up are two different things. What the perpetrators of the killing were trying to achieve was not what the post assassination investigation concluded.

As far as the numbers of participants go for the Dealey Plaza operation, I believe the number is smaller than what would be expected.

I do agree with the actors scenario but these individuals would have been on a need to know, and that wouldn't have been very much.

  9. For Jim and anyone else who hasn't read Larry's book, the interview with Roy Hargraves is fascinating indeed. There are a couple of real jaw droppers in there.

Hargraves (family name Mings) is one of those guys who hasn't received much press over the years but Larry tackles him head on. Hargraves and his friend Vidal are prime suspects indeed.

  10. Hi Lee,

In regards to your question on Jack Lawrence, I can tell you he is a Pastor at the Abney Street Church Of God in West Virginia. He may have done a stint between 1979 and 1984 at the Kodiak Church Of God in Alaska but I haven't been able to confirm that.

You can try and contact him at the following email addresses -

    Friarlaw1@aol.com

    Jac4542721@aol.com

I tried some time back and the good Reverend Lawrence was less than helpful.

  11. Thanks, Larry.

I believe Dunkin had a genuine soft spot for some of the anti-Castro guys and their cause. I get the feeling that he was being pulled in both directions. His photo collection and what it really contained being the source of much interest and speculation.

I agree that Dunkin had no interest in divulging any 'thoughts' he may have had. In fact if I remember correctly, it was Dunkin who floated the story that William Seymour was disillusioned with the whole anti-Castro cause and headed back to Arizona in early November of 1963. Not exactly an alibi but it's a start.

    James

  12. Thanks, Larry.

How do you see Tom Dunkin fitting into the Billings scenario? We known that Dunkin photographed many of the Interpen and anti-Castro guys and in fact developed a friendly relationship with several them - guys like Roy Hargraves, Dennis Harber, Bernardo De Torres and William Seymour.

We also know that Dunkin wrote direct to Billings. At the very least, one would have to say that Billings knew exactly what was going on regarding anti-Castro activity in South Florida.

    James

  13. About the only thing we do know is that based on HSCA inquiry,  it appears that the assassination may have had a real impact on  Arce - or something did - as he seems to have acquired a significant drinking problem within a fairly short time following November 22.

    Hi Larry,

I have a very good photographic comparison that shows a group of men training at No Name Key. One of them is a dead ringer for Danny Arce and the other for a guy who was a spectator in Dealey Plaza.

  14. To add my two cents worth which some will say is about all it's worth, Larry's book is without doubt the best assassination publication available. Martino is vital in understanding what went down in Dallas. His connection to David Morales, the relevance of the Bayo-Pawley mission and his insight to the anti-Castro exile community is just priceless.

Larry also takes a long look at Felipe Vidal Santiago and Roy Hargraves which up until now, men who have received very little press.

The book also has a revealing interview with Roy Hargraves and is packed with documents and such.

Herminio Diaz Garcia is another individual Larry examines. IMO, Diaz Garcia being a shooter on the 6th floor.

    James

  15. Would you suggest any other books on the subject?

    Hi John,

I would recommend to you and to any other forum member that reading Larry Hancock's 'Someone Would have Talked' will be valuable indeed.

I believe this book can be purchased through Amazon.

    Cheers,

    James
