Allen Lowe is a saxophonist, guitarist and jazz historian who lives in South Portland, Maine. He has written books on the blues, jazz history, and American pop, and is a Visiting Professor at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. His book on the history of rock and roll will be published in 2012.
