  1. Hello there, Kathy. That was great info you presented for download & I am sure it will help a lot of people interested in the JFK case. I will try to answer your question briefly & not drop too many of my own opinions in my answer as I am not a researcher. I will admit that it's been a long time since I read Manchester's 'Death Of A President' & I don't remember that much about it. Back in the mid 1960's that was the primary source of a lot of information on JFK's visit to, ambush & departure from Dallas. A lot more information has been published in the decades since.

When this topic was discussed in high school, what alarmed some of my educators became apparent as some students served in the military, city or state police or government. What may seem suspicious when comparing today's disaster response or command & control procedures could in fact be nothing more than changes in the way things are done today versus how they were done 'back in the day'. Things do change. This is where education helps younger people understand the history of events. Education is what this forum is all about.

The most common comments I have read about this topic center around the perception that the local & national media 'dropped the ball' from Parkland to Love Field & focused on DPD prisoner Lee Oswald. The perception is Oswald distracted the attention on the just killed & new President. As far as Presidential & entourage security, there is a common belief today that LBJ's swearing in at Love Field was unnecessary & that he, new & old 1st Lady & all dignitaries should have been transported (by vehicle or air) to nearby Carswell AFB where the military could insure their security & seclusion from the public for as long as was needed to determine the extent of persons involved in ambushing the Presidential motorcade. JFK's autopsy should have been performed at Carswell by Dr. Rose too & Texas laws would have been upheld. As per the Constitution, LBJ became President the instant JFK lost his life; the swearing in could have waited. If it was done to show the world that the US Government was still functioning, then why wasn't the TV networks broadcasting this fact from somewhere close to the action; LBJ now being 'the action'.

I vividly recall my educators in Middle School calling students in from recess & announcing that JFK had been attacked in Dallas. Where I was living with my parents at the time not many of my classmates had any idea of where Dallas was. We were sent home by terrified educators afraid the USA was about to be attacked with nuclear weapons from the Soviet Union and/or Cuba. This fear may have lost its meaning because of the end of the Cold War.

I hope I covered close to everything in this reply, Kathy. I have seen in YouTube videos that a search for information about the C-130 cargo plane that transported JFK's touring car, several passengers & 2 Secret Service agents along with the SS follow-up car is underway. It is hoped among the persons on that flight might turn photos of the ambushed JFK car or information that can help answer questions about a bullet hole being in the windshield or not. There are so many different ambush analysis scenarios on the Internet, in books & TV documentaries that it's no wonder the global public is confused & suspicious about many aspects of JFK's demise (if not all aspects).

  2. Some of my text dropped off during the transmission of my previous post. To clarify what I was both stating & asking; JFK was expected to arrive in Dallas at Love Field, motorcade to the Trade Mart & give a brief speech, then motorcade back to Love Field to depart Dallas. It's not unreasonable to expect both spectators, police security & the media would be present on the return to Love Field from the Trade Mart yet there is footage of such. Even while JFK was being worked on at Parkland these same people would be expected to be in the vicinity of the Presidential entourage leaving Parkland to return to Love Field (both AF-1 & AF-2 were parked at Love Field; both transported the JFK entourage into Dallas & not unreasonable to expect them both to transport the entourage out. There should have been people along that route back to Love Field & at the airport. Mixed in should have been security & the media. Regardless if the entourage was followed or not leaving Parkland, they were expected to return to Love Field. At Love Field should have been spectators, security & media. Where is the TV coverage of the Presidential entourage returning to Love Field, loading JFK's casket aboard AF-1, the uploading of the JFK parade car onto the C-130 cargo transporter & the swearing in of LBJ? Not to mention interviews with the spectators at Love Field (inside or outside the perimeter)?

Was Dallas on 'lockdown' at the time? If so, is there evidence of who was issuing commands & what those commands were (such as the Dallas police audio tapes)?

  3. Kathy, what is your take on why there was no interviews of spectators at Love Field awaiting the return of JFK & no media interest in his parade car that he was ambushed & murdered in? TV coverage appears to have ended at Parkland with the spectators interviewed that exists in the original TV coverage broadcasts. The media filmed JFK's entourage leaving Parkland with the casket but apparently did not follow it to Love Field & continue filming there. Why is that? There's no footage of JFK's parade car being uploaded onto the C-130 that transported it & the SS followup car out of Love Field either (same aircraft that transported both cars into Love Field). If the crowds that greeted JFK at Love Field just a short time earlier were hanging around awaiting his return after his Trade Mart speech, shouldn't there have been media & spectators there at Love Field awaiting his return to fly out of Dallas? Also, why isn't the media on AF-1 reporting on the swearing in of LBJ? Isn't the swearing in a new President newsworthy?

  4. Wow, Robert! You put a lot of thought & work into your analysis. I wish not to detract from it but this is the only place my comment will show up. I did want to mention what I have heard people say over the years about the JBC shooting. Some believe he was in on the ambush & an attempt to eliminate him failed. Others believe he saw Kellerman or Greer (or both) shoot JFK & an effort to eliminate him failed.

For David Lifton, I just wanted to say that I have been following the video presentations his friend & fellow researcher & author Doug Horne has placed on the internet for global viewing & thought consumption & I have been following some of the reaction to it online (forget TV, cable & satellite, the media won't this this topic at all!). I feel the work you initially began with 'Best Evidence' is now entering a new cycle with the additional work of Doug Horne. The more information that is released to the public indicating JFK's body did not make an uninterrupted journey from Parkland to Bethesda, arrived ahead of the caravan transporting the body & casket from Andrews, the shenanigans within Bethesda & the autopsy, the photos & X-rays that appear (in part or whole) to be fraudulent or intentionally deceptive, plus all other aspects of the alleged tampering with the Zapruder film (and anything I failed to mention here) you two men have diligently explained to the public is now beginning to wake people up that what happened in Nov 1963 was similar to what happened to Julius Caesar many decades prior.

Both of your research book & video efforts has placed a big monkey on the back of the government officials from that era & even today, particularly the Secret Service. I expect in time to live to see the Secret Service changed from what Abe Lincoln began on the day of his assassination to contract security. We never hear of wealthy celebs experiencing the horrors JFK did in his final moments on earth on Elm Street in Dallas or what has transpired by those closest to him & within his government when & after he was robbed of his life & his Presidency.

The few elite that saw the Zapruder film before in & outside of Dallas before it made it's way to Hawkeye become extremely valuable to this case, as do those who saw the NPIC briefing boards. Dick Stolley is one of those few still living. I'm still waiting for people like him & those within the SS at the time to comment now on when they saw the Z-film the assassination weekend & if it differed from what was released publicly years later. As Pat Speer pointed out in another thread, he has a website with an astounding collection of comments people made over the years regarding the crime & is an excellent source to fact check what people like Clint Hill (and others) say now, as opposed to what they said over the years without having to pull their hair out trying to run down good, solid info. That's a plug from me to you, Pat (lol).

  5. Much food for thought, Robert. The discrepancy between what Mary Moorman Krahmer (sp?) heard & saw & what the Newman adults & filming team of Abe Zapruder & Marilyn Sitzman reported they heard & saw during the ambush has baffled many people for many years. Hill doesn't help clarify what happened. I believe Mary Moorman is a Scorpio; having been married to a Scorpio & having been exposed to them much of my life I can tell you with authority they don't appreciate being questioned when they tell people something. I can almost see that stinger rising up in the air in video interviews with Mary & she's questioned as to events the public has been led to believe that don't match her experience. If Mary says the 1st shot happened when she snapped her Polaroid & 2 more in rapid succession followed, for me, at least, that's the way it went down. Mary can't be responsible for hearing any silenced shots (nor can anyone else that was there). There is still confusion over when the 1st shot occurred, Pierce Allman made several video interviews last year in 2013 & repeatedly states the 1st shot he heard happened as the parade car was passing his position in front of the reflecting pool. Amos Euins & others back this up, as did JBC in his televised hospital interview 27 Nov 1963.

Is there any wonder that the public still doesn't know with certainty what happened on Elm Street 51 years ago & why the interest in this case will remain globally high until the questions the case raises are answered to universal acceptance?

  6. One thing I failed to mention: There is an opportunity that exists each day on Elm Street in Dallas for the global public to make a private assessment of the issue of JFK being fatally shot from the TSBD sniper's perch at Z-313 of the Zapruder film. Caution is urged when attempting this very simple 'country boy science' experiment. Traffic permitting (early Sunday mornings is the best time to do this, traffic is usually light or dead). Take a taller friend with you. Walk out to the 2nd street X (Z-313) & have your friend stand back (closer to the TSBD than you are). Both of you stand, squat or sit on a box or chair. Position your body as close to what you see in Z-312/Z-313. Look back at the sniper's window. Can you see all or any of the window at all? If you can get your friend to elevate their position to about 8 feet up off the surface of the Street can you see the window now? How much of it is visible to you? Visualize the hefty Cadillac tailgating the sleek, low Lincoln; agents Ready & Landis standing or crouching on the running board (or in the street). After performing this simple experiment, determine for your self if a shot from the sniper's nest was available or blocked. Does it look possible to you, was it a 'tight squeeze' or was it 'no way, Jose'?

I know some people view Clint Hill as a hero & others don't think he's being completely candid. I will say this, from my perspective, I don't believe I could have caught up to a moving vehicle from launching off a moving right behind it in that short of space without injuring myself, but that's just me.

I encourage people to visit the site & bring a cell phone in case they experience harassment or a bad visit from encounters the several souvenir peddlers that hang around that area pushing their goods or others looking to make a fast buck. I can promise you your little experiment will change your perspective of the crime much more so that the floodgates of analysis that have been published during the last 51 years.

When stepping out in the street, avoid becoming a traffic statistic or getting yourself a ticket (or worse). Sunday is your best bet. See it for yourself & call the play yourself...

  7. Thank you for the 'heads up', Pat. I do need to revisit your website this. As I recall, it was so packed with solid information on the case I was afraid the pages would explode on me (lol). How you found all those newspaper interviews goes far beyond impressive. Those interested in the case should make it a point to visit your site regularly.

Thank you & all others for having patience with me on my post above. As you can tell from the multi-type & font size text I had a major battle going with 'copy & paste'. I had no idea that liny video link would blow up so large either. I am experiencing the "newbie blues". I don't like to make too many comments because when I do my photo appears & scares me.....

    Best,

    Brad

  8. According to Clint Hill in this interview/lecture for a 2013 book signing event JFK could not have been saved because by the time the agents heard the 1st shot, turned to the right to look back behind them & then returned looking at JFK Hill was already climbing up on the back of the parade car.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kv5z3iK_sMk

At the end of the video hill answers some tough questions from his audience. Hill denies the agents were boozing it up the early morning of Nov 22 1963 (says the agents went club hopping in search of food to eat), states Oliver Stones movie, JFK, is 'full of baloney' & deliberately deceptive. Hill claims he 'grabbed Jackie on Elm Street & put her back in her seat' & also turned towards the follow-up car agents & gave them a thumbs down signal. Neither event is in the Zapruder or Nix films. Hill doesn't buy the 'Hickey accidentally shot JFK with the AR-15 theory either.

Tougher question Hill should have been asked would include these (I am sure you can think of many more):

    - Was there a bullet hole in the parade car windshield?

    - Did you hear or ‘sense’ a shot from the knoll (or anywhere forward or lateral) hit JFK in the head & caused the massive blow out that sprayed Jackie & yourself?

    - Did you see or hear either Kellerman or Greer shoot the President?

    - Did you know of or participate in taking JFK’s body from his casket aboard AF1 & hiding it elsewhere on the aircraft (as alleged by Doug Horne & David Lifton)?

    - Did you notice either the Umbrella Man or the Cuban before or during the ambush?

    - Did you observe or hear about any activities during JFK’s autopsy at Bethesda that discredits the official story & supports Doug Horne & David Lifton’s allegations of pre-autopsy surgery & extra bullets removed from JFK’s body?

-Did you see or hear about autopsy photos & X-rays that differ from the bootlegs & official versions now in the public record?

    - Which SS agent confiscated JFK autopsy photos (alleged in ‘JFK: The Smoking Gun)?

    - Did you & Jackie Kennedy have a romantic relationship?

The audience did not ask Clint Hill if he had seen or heard about the two NPIC Zapruder briefing boards Doug Horne discusses in his online essays & videos. Hill also wasn’t asked when & where he was 1st shown the Zapruder film & if it differed in any way from what was released to the public.

  9. Just trying out the posting mechanism. This issue (when was JBC shot?) gets really complicated when one factors in what the closest eyewitnesses said about the shooting. The Newmans both claimed they heard two shots before the JFK before JFK's touring car passed them & when it did pass them JBC was holding his stomach. Mary Moorman has never changed her remembrance that she snapped her photo at the instant of the 1st shot and heard 2 more in quick succession.

  10. I am 62 years old, retired Federal Service and an avid collector of Big Band & swing era music & performance movies & videos. I have been following the JFK assassination & all its twists & turns since I was 11 years old when the crime occurred. I am not a professional or amateur researcher but I maintain an interest in the case.
