The secret service's excuse for letting the guy with the rifle go home with no consequences makes no sense.

I will have to go back and see exactly what Shaw said but he definitely attributed as his source a former legal assistant to Sen. Cooper. I am not wanting to be in the middle of dueling researchers here lol. Its an interesting angle to the Warren Report I was not aware of until today.

..and no evidence was preserved that it ever existed.
More than 3 years after the Warren Report was issued, investigator Harold Weisberg attempted to gain access to all of the WC transcripts. He was informed by the Archivist for the United States that there was no verbatim transcript of the Sept 18th meeting. It was at the Sept 18th meeting that Sen. Russell, with the approval of Sens. Cooper and Boggs, expressed in a dissent strong doubts concerning the so-called "magic bullet" theory. The official transcript record of these doubts was totally expunged from the historic record.
Mark Shaw author of numerous JFKA books only recently uncovered this.

Sounds pretty good. If anybody has read this please give us your impressions.

Will any of us on this forum still be around when the truth really comes out? Have to wonder.

Anybody can confess to anything. I, however, have an alibi for November 22nd. I was in Provo, Utah, with a peanut butter sandwich not a Mauser.
Why would anybody falsely confess to the most famous unsolved murder in U.S. history? Why wait to do so right before death?

11 hours ago, Roger Odisio said:But despite all of this and much more we now know (this is just a brief summary), Alan, you know better. What JFK really wanted was to overthrow Castro, knowing that it would lead to war with the Soviet Union because Krushchev could not stand by and do nothing. Kennedy must have wanted that too. So he concocted the scheme you describe. What nonsense.
No question that believing JFK was involved in a false flag op as a pretext for invading Cuba will be a bridge too far for many. I am not ready to believe it myself. That said, if the evidence points that way, reality would be earth-shakingly changed for all of us who are serious about solving this case.
I look forward to eventually being able to view all of the gifs Alan has posted on this thread. Still waiting for some technical support on my end to get there.

Is it just my images you're not seeing, Mr. Blackmon?
Yes Alan it is and like I said I had the same problem viewing your images on the other JFK Forum.
The problem exists on both pc and iphone browser.

Thanks indeed, Mr. Blackmon. Sorry to hear about your difficulty with viewing images. Perhaps you might try switching browser? I had the same difficulty a while back and it worked for me.
You would think that would work, but it doesn't. It may have something to do with my Internet filter. Have you ever considered putting together an e-book on your front step findings?

Welcome Alan Ford. I have followed Mr. Ford's analysis of the TSBD video footage on the other JFK forum and found it very interesting. For some reason I was not able to view the still shots he posted over there from Towner etc. so my understanding has been hampered. I look forward to seeing it explained over here to a more scholarly audience that knows the right questions to ask.
ETA: I am having the same problem viewing the GIFs Ford posts here that I had on the other JFK Forum. Any suggestions on how to remedy that would be appreciated.

Gaeton Fonzi’s - The Last Investigation
A very good insight into the corrupted JFK assassination investigations that were too afraid to spotlight in particular the FBI, CIA & its various contractors. Goes deep into the very complicated Cuban exiles anger at JFK. The book answers, for me, the credible bigger picture of what would have motivated the people Gaeton Fonzi suspected of being involved in the assassination of JFK.
I thought this book was very informative as well. I have not read enough different books in my opinion to say which one is best.

I came in late. What was Oswald's involvement in "Rescue Kennedy"?

Watching right now. Thanks!

Excellent post Gil. I did not know the DPD had been so bad for so long.

Beyond reasonable doubt, according to Shaneyfelt.
Shaneyfelt explains how it can be done (obviously it can be done or he would not have detailed the process) but yet it is beyond reasonable doubt that it can't be done with the backyard photos? Thats B.S.

Twisting words. He was explaining how difficult and unlikely it would have been.
Great. So how unlikely would it have been?

This is an intriguing debate- wish I had time right now to follow the whole thing. Hopefully later.

For someone like Norman Mailer to make stuff up about MM's death "for a buck," that's a pretty good indication that other writers were doing the same. Nobody knew the truth about her death, so those who wrote about it were all speculating.
I read Mailer's "Oswald's Tale" some years ago. He really had me swayed to think Oswald was just "nutty", unpredictable enough to pull off the JFK murder on his own. I came back to my senses in time.

So why did the first bullet miss so badly? An intentional miss maybe?
