I guess I had the street wrong. But, this 1st exit - Corham Chevrolet was along here - or, the other side of the street? I think Hill started climbing onto the bumper around where the pink dot is (roughly) and still hadn't covered the Kennedys when they passed the car dealership - awfully far from the area of the original extreme danger. The few pictures of him make him appear to be moving with such urgency - but it took him forever to traverse the trunk lid. I'm sure this is one of their main objectives - to get between the targets and the bullets as soon as possible - and, the way he tells it - it sounds like he did - but, he didn't. All the way to Corham - and still trying to get his foot into the backseat? Something doesn't seem right.

I can only post two or three photos before my "global space" is used up. Needed to reclaim this space to post another picture.

Clint Hill related these important events in this way:

The motorcade made a right hand turn onto Elm Street. I was on the forward portion of the left running board of the follow-up car. The motorcade made a left hand turn from Elm Street toward an underpass. We were traveling about 12 to 15 miles per hour. On the left hand side was a grass area with a few people scattered along it observing the motorcade passing, and I was visually scanning these people when I heard a noise similar to a firecracker. The sound came from my right rear and I immediately moved my head in that direction. In so doing, my eyes had to cross the Presidential automobile and I saw the President hunch forward and then slump to his left. I jumped from the Follow-up car and ran toward the Presidential automobile. I heard a second firecracker type noise but it had a different sound-- like the sound of shooting a revolver into something hard. I saw the President slump more toward his left.

I jumped onto the left rear step of the Presidential automobile. Mrs. Kennedy shouted, "They've shot his head off," then turned and raised out of her seat as if she were reaching to her right rear toward the back of the car for something that had blown out. I forced her back into her seat and placed my body above President and Mrs. Kennedy. SA Greer had, as I jumped onto the Presidential automobile, accelerated the Presidential automobile forward. I heard ASAIC Kellerman call SA Lawson on the two-way radio and say, "To the nearest hospital, quick." I shouted as loud as I could at the lead car, "To the hospital, to the hospital."

In looking at the Zapruder film, Clint Hill is just getting his body up onto the trunk as the car disappears beneath the overpass. In an aerial photo, it is quite a distance to the big, wide, right turn which takes them in the direction of Parkland Hospital - I believe this is Harry Hines Blvd. There were no businesses or storefronts between the overpass and the big turn - so I assume that this "Corham" store is on Harry Hines Blvd. In Clint Hill's story, he seems to be saying that getting Jackie back into her seat, covering the President and Mrs. Kennedy with his body, the acceleration and the initial order to head for the hospital all happened at a similar point in time - but, much later - somewhere on Harry Hines Blvd. - Hill is not even into the backseat yet. Did he lay down over them to protect them - or, do I have that wrong?

Slaughtering each other over perceived and magnified, distorted differences has nothing to do with any "divine purpose". If there is a Lord-God-Creator, nothing could be more devastatingly heart-breaking to him than to see the crown of his creation behave so savagely and murderously towards one another on such a massive scale. It is a thoroughly twisted misinterpretation by mankind - revealing the depth and degree of the overall insanity of the planet.

Courage is elsewhere.

When endorsing the findings of the Warren Commission, Bobby may have been doing that which was politically expedient - allowing him to continue to publicly campaign and "fly beneath the radar" with regard to the entrenched powers which may have lain behind a possible large conspiracy - until he might garner the type of power that would enable him to sincerely do something about reinvestigating the murder. Probably a foolish belief - but, it may have been all he had. If there was a conspiracy to take control of the U.S. government- it had succeeded - and Bobby was definitely on the outside looking in. In politics, unless under extreme conditions - it's usually about "gamesmanship" - Kennedys thought they played as well as anyone but may have been naive in believing that certain standards of civility and human decency described the playing field - up until 11/22.

Press Secretary Frank Mankiewicz said he was startled by RFK's answer, "Yes." (he would reinvestigate...) - and, that RFK may have finally "blurted out the truth". And then, only days later... he was dead.

This is about the dramatically skewed angle at which the Oswald figure stood in the earliest media presentations of CE 133-A. It defied the laws of physics - and gravity. In real life - one would fall over. But, when clumsily pasting pieces of paper together - no harm - no foul...

There were several references to Sir Isaac Newton and the law of gravity in the old thread - that is the connection...

The poorly aligned scope is HUGE. How can you hit ANYTHING with a poorly aligned scope? Especially from so far away under such a compressed, constrained timeline.

"Well, I guess I'll kill the president from hundreds of feet away, today. I guess I'll use this "hunk of junk" with a loose scope which nobody can hit the broad side of a barn with... where's my Mauser when I need it?"

Using Dale Meyers 1st shot trajectory (looking down from above, showing seated JFK and Connally) -

the location of the windshield chrome dent, and Zapruder frame of Kennedy and Connally both visible - appearing from behind sign - a line drawn from JFK's tie upwards to the Windshield frame dent seems to pass right through the middle of Connally's head.

(After searching many, many old posts I have found 5 photos which I have posted in my time here. I have eliminated them all and recovered about 180 kilobytes. That is all I have - total. Compared to the size and quantity of others' offerings - it seems that something is very wrong...)

The ability for me to post pictures seems awfully restrictive. In this case, 56.69k...

"He holds that the first shot went through Kennedy, was deflected upwards and out of the car after hitting the windshield trim, that the second shot hit Connally, and the third shot was the head shot."

The circularity of the indentation doesn't seem to suggest a glancing trajectory - "deflected upwards and out of the car". It looks to me like it hits pretty much straight-on through the chrome and strikes into the car's steel frame. From that hit, it seems like much of it's velocity would have been robbed away - the crushed slug maybe even falling INTO the car...

It also seems from the picture that an upward deflection from JFK's tie-knot would almost have had to pass through the passenger-side's adjustable sun visor. I'm pretty sure that passing OVER the top edge of the visor is the wrong trajectory to be exiting the President's neck...

I wonder if Goss may have been installed merely as a figurehead/caretaker, allowing others to do the serious restructuring, while he, as a good soldier, would make no squeak or squawk - permitting everything to flow smoothly - then, departing when the changes were completed. It was said that his management style was staying in his office all of the time. Being a Bush lapdog - he wouldn't defend long-standing policies of the agency the way a deeply-invested "long-timer" might. Many of the experienced, veteran agents apparently left during the transition - and referred to the agents making up the influx of new replacements as the "Hitler Youth"...

When I was young I connoted being an American with aspiring to those things which were the highest and the best - that our world leadership would result in wise and thoughtful guidance towards a more just and humane planet - raising the standards of dignity and opportunity for all the world's people and securing a new era of peace, negotiation and diplomacy in the place of armed conflict. As an adult, I have resigned myself to the fact that our national and international policies have degenerated towards greed, selfishness, manipulation and violent subjugation - always explained by a litany of excuses, alibis and outright lies - defining why it is that we cannot take the course which seems logical and obvious - but instead, must travel the different route which seems backwards and convoluted - bloody and destructive. It wouldn't be the first time that a great and powerful nation changed it's leadership and direction and reinterpreted the possibilities presented by it's dominance with a more militaristic, "run the table" mentality - but I never thought it would happen to my country.

I was just a boy, but I KNOW where John Kennedy was taking us - and, I know what was in his heart. All of the recasting and rewriting will never change all that I knew to be true about him from that time. We set an entirely different course as a nation when he died - the WRONG course - and, we've been on it ever since... and, I believe that it will ultimately be our undoing. Our foundation has been eaten away. We no longer have a sound and secure base - we are very vulnerable - particularly subject to the whims of other nations in a financial sense. We are like an illusion with nukes. We've appeared haughty and arrogant and we antagonize when we should apologize. I'm reminded of John Lennon's words from "I'm a Loser" - "And, so it's true, pride goes before a fall... I'm telling you - so that you don't lose all..."

It seems like it was toward the end of the Clinton administration that a small plane was deliberately crashed onto the grounds of the White House - very near the residence. To hear them say later that they never considered that planes would be used as missiles is absurd. If that is true - the admittance should get every one of them fired. If false - people should just move along because there is nothing new here...

Heck, it was an offensive tactic used over and over again by the Japanese in WWII. Maybe we should rename our "intelligence" agencies - "stupidity" agencies?

Scott - Could I ask a favor of you? If you have a copy of Grodin's "KOTP" - could you possibly scan and post a photo which I believe is contained within it? It is the one which shows the individual at the far left who resembles GHWBush. It shows the crowded area of the TSBD steps in the aftermath of the killing - with motorcycle cop standing next to his machine in the foreground... thanks, either way.

By the way, I just read in a front page of the Panama City paper at the website link in the brand new thread "JFK Assassination Archive" which was published in the tumult of that time - that the weapon found was a ".25 Japanese made" rifle. A new one on me...

I went to John Simkin's great link contained in his new thread "JFK Assassination Newspaper Archive". I was only able to open the Panama City paper in the top right corner of the home page with Adobe Reader. Everything else asked me to try again later. In the bottom right corner of that front page is the famous picture of the rifle being carried from the TSBD. The caption says it is a ".25 Japanese made" weapon. Anybody familiar with this? I'd never heard of it. Pretty soon we will have enough rifles to fire the 7-8 shots which some claim were fired.

Isn't it odd that no one even acknowledges the man passing by so closely in 8346.jpg - squeezing through that narrow area between the fence and themselves? It isn't exactly a walking lane - in fact, it gets even narrower directly ahead as the old tramp is over further and the gate is slightly open. How did this guy get himself wedged into this predicament with a wide open sidewalk? His gait remains steady - yet, he should be recalculating for what lies dead ahead. No one even looks at him - they keep their eyes trained on the sidewalk in front of their feet. It looks odd. These things happen - but, usually people will chuckle at one another over the sheer awkwardness. Pretty nice clarity, but I can't see the ring on the man's hand which Prouty said was a giveaway to his identity. If you saw policemen coming at you with prisoners - wouldn't you get the heck out of the way - around to the left where there was some room to walk? Unless, of course, you felt the urge to whisper something to the tall, good looking one...

Is there ANY evidence or testimony in this case which is rock solid and irrefutable? Every aspect seems laden with "COULDA, WOULDA, SHOULDA" - EITHER/OR, NOT QUITE, VERY SIMILAR, IN THE SAME BALLPARK, NOT CONCLUSIVE, HE SAID SHE SAID, CAME UP MISSING, ACCIDENTALLY DESTROYED, NO NOTES TAKEN, NO RECORDS KEPT, NO RECOLLECTION, INACCURACIES ATTRIBUTED TO, LOCKED AWAY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD, ETC., ETC., ETC. ...

"... In the Kennedy case, as more evidence is gathered, more theories will always be forthcoming, because the number of suspects that had the motive, the opportunity, and the means to kill the president---even if not actually infinite---is certainly interminable."

I'm reminded of something Fletcher Prouty said in TMWKK - along the lines, that - although many would have had the means and the motive to kill the President - only a select few would have had the power, authority and ability to orchestrate and implement such a massive cover-up.

Part of the management of the great power and control which has been amassed since the assassinations of the 60's - is the blatant ignorance feigned by the Mega-media and the well-chosen "historians" who are allowed to broadcast and disseminate their "lone nut" interpretations and opinions of the killings. There must be an absolutely overwhelming pressure to keep the lid on the case - as the alternative is unacceptable - discovering the truth of what occurred and connecting subsequent "dots" - jeopardizing all of the changes and alterations which have been made to the nation in the interim. The issuance of the truth could cause Americans to want to return to the America that once existed - the America that was much closer to the one which was originally conceived of and the one we grew up believing in. What we have now is an empty shell - controlled completely by the wealthy and systematically stripped of our worth, standing and importance as citizens and human beings.

No serious revelations which indicate possible complicity and collusion will ever be widely disseminated because that would completely go against the original purposes of the murders in the first place - to establish that major redirection of the country and the world. The original conspirators are aided by the current breed of politicians - who would never "rock the boat" to such an extent - endangering their ride on the "gravy train" - setting their own wages - designing their own benefit packages - getting dressed up in a nice suit and pontificating on some poorly devised, useless and wasteful program or policy...

In my opinion, Jack White is the Godfather of Discovery with regard to the JFK case. His remarkable identifications of the inherent aberrations contained within the original backyard photograph CE 133-A (which appeared on the cover of LIFE) mark him as an exceedingly important contributor to the ascertainment of truth in the JFK assassination. The fact that he had assembled an extremely powerful and cogent presentation which he attempted to offer to the Warren Commission in 1964 - which he was not permitted to describe in it's entirety - places him in a league far beyond most "johnny-come-latelies" in my book. It would behoove the forum to remember just how difficult it is to establish sure-fire, doubt-free evidence in a case which may have had so much of it's original depictions altered and tainted through the years. It would probably also be worthwhile for it to ask itself whether it feels fortunate to have Jack White as a contributor - or, whether it would rather have his gaggle of rude detractors. Remember, Jack had it all together for the Warren Commission. Nobody else was in the same "hemisphere". People should remember this when they talk to him - there are all kinds of crazy theories... Jack's are not crazy... R-E-S-P-E-C-T... JMO
