Once when I was in Dallas I interviewed former TV reporter and mayor of Dallas Wes Wise, who then asked me to come around to the Sixth Floor Muse where he and Bob Porter interviewed me on videotape for their oral history archives.

Not long after that Bob Porter interviwed Jim Leavelle at his home, where Leavelle, while showing Porter his service revolver, accidently shot Porter, who survived.

I thought that was a little known story worth repeating.
