The son of Robert F. Kennedy has been arrested for allegedly attacking two nurses who tried to stop him removing his newborn baby from hospital.

Douglas Kennedy, a journalist, is charged with harassment and endangering the welfare of a child following the altercation, which happened last month.

He is alleged to have twisted the arm of one nurse and kicked another in the crotch as they tried to make sure his two-day-old son Boru was not being treated roughly.

Mr Kennedy strongly refutes the charges, and told NBC New York the claims were 'absurd'.

The accusations date from January 7, when Mr Kennedy, 44, was visiting his wife Molly and their newborn son - the couple's fourth - in Northern Westchester Hospital in New York.

Mr and Mrs Kennedy then started to take the baby for a walk outside, but were stopped by nurses concerned for the boy's safety.

They asked him to return the newborn to the emergency room, but he refused - encouraged by Dr Timothy Haydock, a family friend who works at the hospital.

When Mr Kennedy ignored them and walked in to the elevator, nurses triggered a 'code pink', which alerts staff that someone is trying to abduct a baby.

Police said that one nurse, Anna Margaret Lane, stood in Mr Kennedy's way, so he grabbed her wrist and twisted it to move her out of the way.

A police statement continued that the baby's head started to 'move from side to side, and in an attempt to stabilize the baby's head, nurse Cari Maleman Luciano reached toward the infant's head.'

Ms Luciano told authorities: 'Instinctively as a nurse, I raised both my arms toward the neck of the baby to steady the violent shaking of the baby's head and neck.'

But Mr Kennedy then allegedly kicked her in the pelvis and caused her to fall over.

In security footage of the incident, a figure can be seen to fall backwards away from the elevator.

Mr Kennedy then fell on the floor, still holding his son, and jumped up to run downstairs, according to the police report, but was 'stopped by security and escorted back to the infant's room'.

He was charged with the alleged offences on Thursday.

The Kennedys deny any wrongdoing, and said in a statement: 'The nurse had no right to attempt to grab our child out of his father's arms and I, Douglas, was shocked and appalled when she did so.'

The family's lawyer told the Daily News: 'This is nothing more than a money grab.'

Dr Haydock has supported the couple's story and claimed that 'the nurses were the only aggressors'.

Mr Kennedy is a reporter and occasional presenter for Fox News, having started his career with the New York Post.

He is the tenth son of Bobby Kennedy, the U.S. senator, Attorney General and presidential candidate who was assassinated in 1968, five years after the death of his brother JFK.

I remember one time DiEugenio was ranting about C. David Heymann, about how terrible he was and what a supposed fraud and xxxx he was. That piqued my curiosity and I bought Heymann's "Bobbie and Jackie: A Love Story" and it completely convinced me that Bobby and Jackie were having a torrid love affair post JFK assassination. I have heard this from other credible sources as well.

I don't really think Mr. Caddy's post right here is relevant to understanding the JFK assassination, but the topic of the Kennedys' dysfunctional and highly promiscuous sex lives is certainly a topic that has relevance to the 1963 Coup d'Etat. Without John Kennedy's Achilles' heel of rampant promiscuity, Lyndon Johnson could NEVER have strongarmed/blackmailed his way onto the 1960 Democratic ticket. That is an extremely important point.

And I do think it gives us tremendous insight into Robert Kennedy's character - or rather *lack* of character - that he would carrying on an affair with "the widow" as Ethel used to call Jackie, while simultaneously having a wife and 10 to 11 children. I read Heymann's book front to cover and he convinced me. I don't think he fabricated the entire book.

I have not touched on Lyndon Johnson's insane sexual promiscuity and what we can learn from that and from Madeleine Brown and Mary Margaret Valenti (nee Wiley). I have some information on LBJ's sexual habits that I will eventually post that will give you more insight into him.

If you were a regular reader of the Political Conspiracies section of the Forum, you would be aware that for over a year and a half I have been reading the British newspapers several times a day to post breaking news articles in the “Rupert Murdoch and the Corruption of the British Media” topic. Since September 2010 I have posted over 750 articles that have been viewed over 47,000 times by readers around the globe, many of whom, as John Simkin has observed, are not even Forum members but are vitally interested in Murdoch's criminal activities. The Murdoch hacking scandal is not dying down but is actually escalating with criminal prosecutions of prominent persons on the horizon in both the U.K. and the U.S. It is a story of media, political, and police corruption that has tremendous historical implications.

Among the papers that I read regularly is the Daily Mail, which carried the article on RFK’s son in its Saturday’s edition.

I don’t think that I “breathlessly” rushed to post the RFK son article. I did so because I ran across it as I perused the British press on Murdoch. You should note that I also posted Murdoch articles from Saturday’s Guardian and Independent papers in the Political Conspiracies section.

I don’t think that I need to apologize for posting articles of relevance to Forum section. Other Forum members have posted articles about RFK in the JFK Assassination topic frequently in the past.

What do I think about Lisa Pease's very biased review of "Bobbie and Jackie?:" desperate junk from a fawning JFK/Kennedy family groupie who simply can not deal objectively with the sexual dysfunctions of the Kennedys. I read Heymann's book and Pease's interview ... and Heymann won hands down on the essential issue of whether there was a love affair between Robert Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy.

I really do think JFK groupyism *pickles one's mind* from being able to understand the JFK assassination. Christopher Matthews would be a prime example. The reason why is the JFK groupie just can't understand who the Kennedys enemies were, why they offended them so much, and what was the Achilles heel of JFK: his rampant, reckless sexual promiscuity.

A JFK groupie, for example, would ask a bunch of Secret Secret agents: "Was JFK a nice man? Did JFK ever order you off the back of the limo? Did you like JFK?" That is *instead* of more probing issues like: 1) what was the relationship between JFK and LBJ? Who in the Secret Service hated JFK and why? What did Rowley think of him? Tell me some dirt on JFK - what about the women? Drugs? Risky behavior? Have you ever seen JFK incapacitated? Did the Secret Service agents not like his politics? What was really going on with the Kennedys? What was the relationship with JFK and Jackie really like? How about the RFK/Jackie relationship? Was JFK seeing prostitutes? Tell me about Fiddle and Faddle. What was JFK's relationship with military? Any anecdotes you want to share? Who among the agents loved JFK and who hated him? Why? Give me examples, please.

A JFK groupie will ask Secret Service agents cotton candy questions; acting like a defense lawyer for the legacy of the Kennedys, while avoiding critical issues such as who hated John Kennedy among the Secret Service and why. A JFK groupie won't even ask about what risky behaviors such as drug use and massive womanizing that JFK was engaging in. We know Kennedy was high on speed shots from Dr. Feelgood. I would have particularly asked the SS agents about this man and his access to the president.

Because JFK groupyism *pickles the mind* the groupie will announce in 2007 - after over a decade of "research," or rather JFK groupie worship, that the village idiot Vincent Bugliosi has it all figured out and that there was no conspiracy at all in the JFK assassination. The JFK groupie just can't comprehend why *anyone* would hate JFK or how the Kennedys' politics and personal behavior (not to mention RFK's hardass management style) could threaten anyone because they are all such loveable people who never did anything wrong or question. Above all, never ordered anyone off the back of the limo.

Re: Pease's review of "Bobby and Jackie" - It is a case of throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Attack Heymann on peripheral issues; ignore the fact that he amassed a mountain of evidence of an affair. Pease is silent on most of the examples listed below.

"Over lunch that afternoon, Smathers asked Bobby why he’d aborted his personal investigation into his brother’s assassination.

“Because every time I pump the FBI or CIA for information,” RFK responded, “I end up with a death threat in the mail. So does Teddy. I don’t care about my own life, but I do care about my brother’s. My using the CIA in conjunction with the Mafia to go after Castro may have led to Jack’s death. One in the family is enough.”

For his part, Smathers supported the theory that there had been a conspiratorial plot between organized crime and the CIA, or, more accurately, a renegade faction of the CIA. Smathers had little faith in the findings of the Warren Commission. “Gerald Ford, the future president, was an FBI mole,” said Smathers. “He was on the commission but reported back to J. His name cropped up in 1963 in connection with the so-called Profumo debacle, in which an international vice ring nearly brought down the British government. He’d been linked to one of the women involved in the case. Had he lived, Jack would’ve been dragged through the mud. And there was the matter of Mary Pinchot Meyer, his last mistress, who was murdered in 1964 while walking along the towpath in Georgetown. Had he been alive, that case also would have come back to haunt Jack.”

RFK, long his brother’s bagman, almost certainly knew of the meeting in pre-Castro Cuba between Jack and Trafficante, as well as all the rest of JFK’s sordid dealings. Ultimately, according to Smathers, Bobby’s decision to discontinue his investigation into his brother’s assassination probably had less to do with the Mafia and more to do with his and Jackie Kennedy’s madcap affair following Jack’s death.

“At least, that’s what Ted Kennedy told me,” noted Smathers. “One of Bobby’s fears was that somebody would eventually leak information on the affair to the press. Too many people were in on the secret. Exposure in the media would have ruined any chance Bobby might have had of following in Jack’s presidential footsteps. Frankly, between the CIA and Bobby’s interlude with Jackie, it’s a wonder that none of it had already been exposed in the press.”"

Lyndon Johnson was one of handful of select senators and congressman who were supervising the CIA in the early years. (I am talking late 1940's; early 1950's. LBJ was a protege of the powerful Sen. Richard Russell, Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee. I don't think they had the Senate Intelligence Committe back then, so it would have been under Armed Services.) LBJ's CIA ties ran very, very deep.

And they sure did come in handy on 11/22/63.

I'm not saying he is dishonest, but all I've got was Jim is a CIA did it and everything else no matter what you say kinda guy, sure the CIA is to blame for a lot of things but so was Kennedy. I can't say he was perfect and everything, oh well...

I'm not in no way shape or form blaming Kennedy for everything, nor am I saying the CIA was to blame for everything, however, I'm sure the both can take some blame on many things, there have been those who have numbered the CIA's misfortune and faults, but has overlooked calculating Kennedy's? I am requesting that the moderator(s) move this topic to the Robert Kennedy section to forestall further internal controversy in the forum. The reason I posted the article here originally is that while the JFK assassination drastically affected the U.S. and to an extent the whole world, it obviously traumatized the members of the Kennedy family and continues to do so. The family has had a seemingly endless number of personal problems and tragedies. This incident involving RFK's son kicking the nurse is the latest example, which ultimately, in my opinion, can be traced back to the killings in 1963 and 1968 that have left indelible scars on family members.

I think it is important for some to have any possible future Kennedy presidency neutralised early on. These foci on relatively trivial matters are worth considering. There are other Kennedys 'waiting in the wing'. To have these 'scandals' creates a perception. I think it is right for Douglas to bring this matter up for consideration.

Of course I respect the request to shift the topic. There is a why for these smears. I wish sinilar would be used to expose the criminality of presidents like Reagan and Bush for example. A double stanfdard, which I see Douglas as choosing to highlight.
