John Connally Shooter

Recommended Posts

The last remaining piece needed, which is provided by the WC, was the correct downward angle.

That would be 17degrees43min.

This helps to explain other adjustments made along the way, creating the parallel scenario.

Chris,

Math is not my strong point, so forgive my ignorance on that. I had read somewhere that Connally's shooter could have been in the 6th floor SW corner. Does that fit into the trajectory for this?

Chris

So the angle 17degrees48minutes30seconds is the trajectory of the bullet from the southeast window sixth floor TSBD. According to Doctor Shaw, the bullet entered Kennedy's back, exited his throat and then entered Connally's back. Doctor Shaw goes on to say (in the interview with Spector bottom of the photo) that the bullet had to be at that trajectory in order for the bullet to exit Connally's right nipple and come from the southeast window sixth floor of the TSBD (caption upper left of photo).

Furthermore, the limo was located at Z 236 when Connally was shot, according to the doctor.

The SBT, which the WC said occurred as the limo became visible in the ZAP film as it moves from behind the Stemmons sign, puts the SBT at approximately Z 224. That is the frame where Kennedy is seen clutching his throat for the first time.

How does the good doctor reconcile the differences in frames?

George,

17deg48min30sec is the trajectory from the County Records Building rooftop. Kiddy-corner from the 6th floor TSBD.

19deg26min = frame 235 from the Southeast 6th floor, at least according to CE884.

Use the (angle given by the WC as the true angle and County Records Building height along with the elev change 89.94ft) and start from there.

From the true angle comes the re-creation.

For instance:

The 3.27ft JFK head height above pavement when used in conjunction with 17deg48min will yield a difference of 10.24ft which is the distance they moved the Time-Life determined shot @ extant 207 further West down Elm St. to Station# 3+81.3.

Following the calculation in the first link you provided, 19degrees26minutes was derived using the height of 89.94ft.

The height measured from the ground to the window sill of the southeast window TSBD is therefore 89.94ft., according to CE884.

Using 89.94ft gives a story height of about 18ft, could that be correct?

George,

19degrees26min was created by using a base measurement from zframe 273 to the corner of the County Records Building (256.25ft), plus the height of the building (80ft), plus the elev change from those two points(9.94ft)

The height of the 6th floor TSBD southeast window sill was measured at 60.7ft high.

CE884 measurements use that height(60.7ft), plus the elev change from the building base directly below, out to the particular spot on Elm St, plus the height of the rifle end above the window sill to determine the angle of a location 3.27ft above the ground.
