Public Interest Declassification Board (PIDB) Agrees to Include Non-Compliance With JFK Records Act in Next Public Meeting

Recommended Posts

a group of lawyers have been diligently working on enforcing the JFK Assassination Records Act. We have sent letters to the House Oversight Committee and Senate Committee on Homeland Security (see attached)requesting Congress conduct oversight hearings on the failure of the Executive Branch to comply with the Act. These committees have continuing statutory jurisdiction over compliance with the JFK Act.

We then sent a letter to the PIDB which makes recommendations to the President on declassification requesting that the non-compliance with the Act  be placed on its May 18th public meeting (see attached). The letter was signed by a diverse group of people with differing views on the assassination to show that support for the release of the remaining records is not limited to those who believe the assassination was a result of a conspiracy. The PIDB has informed us that the topic will indeed be covered at the public hearing. You can go to the PIDB website to register. There will be a Q &A period.
