Well, maybe. US elites have become very globalist, and pretty much run the country, especially foreign, trade and military policies.

There is some tension between some of the national defense guys, and the globalists, especially re China.

Basically, US elites like China, academia loves China, Wall Street likes China, Silicon Valley loves China, multinationals love China, media & entertainment love China.  The CCP is good! 

BTW, Harvard recently received a ton of money from China developer Evergrande, and then issued a report that the Wuhan lab leak never happened, it was all natural.

Some elements of the intel state are concerned that the CCP....makes Putin look like Peter Pan.
