Sean Coleman
How can the Z film have been altered when the images in the sprocket area discovered in ‘97/‘98 match the images we all know and love? Am open to suggestions….. Edited February 15 by Sean Coleman
Sean Coleman
The exposed sprocket images. That match the footage. Exposed in 1997. Negates alteration doesn’t it? The silence is deafening…. Edited March 19 by Sean Coleman

I don't know how the inter-sprocket images prove anything. They were in the original negatives and they are in the extant positive copies. No big surprise there. Sean Coleman
Yes, but what I’m thinking is, if the film was altered before anyone even knew there was secret footage hidden between the sprocket holes, that alteration would be evident, as the secret (unaltered) footage would not match with the altered footage. Maybe it proves that frames weren’t removed? Doesn’t help with animation issues though.
Chris Scally
Sean, Anyone who saw the camera-original film would have seen the inter-sprocket hole imagery - it is not "secret", and it is one of the ways of distinguishing an original film from a copy. There is no inter-sprocket imagery on the copies. Chris.

Both before and after their alterations.
Sean Coleman
Ah. Was under the impression they were first seen when MPI released the home video in 98. It seems some stills were shown with the sprocket area early on, the public saw the whole shebang when the video was released. D’oh!!
