The metal shed...there or not?

Recommended Posts

The shed appears temporary, it angles away from the sidewalk and it is

not seen in the Tramp photo.

......the last I have to say on the matter as well.

Maybe you should try getting a good quality print of the tramp photo and use something better than a magnifyier that came out of a 'happy meal' to view it with. In other words, your observations can only be as good as the source materials and tools you have to work with.

Large tramp image which i scanned from Trask's POTP is available on my website.

What is important is that he was able to show that the 'shed' did not appear in the earlier picture of the three 'tramps' being escorted along the front of the TSBD.

The photo showing the shed was taken by Jim Murray only a few minutes after the assassination. The tramp photo was taken a couple of hours later.

In comparing the two photos, it certainly looks like the shed in Murray's photo was removed by the time the tramp photo was taken.

Compare the version below of the tramp photo. Did someone deliberately obliterate everything around and behind the second cop? For what purpose?

Hi Ron.

I understood exactly what you were saying in your post.

I was not even aware that there was such a thing as an UNCROPPED version of that image, until i looked in Trask's POTP.

As you rightly point out, why bother to crop out that portion of the original image. ?

Thanks Robin

With this higher resolution photo, we see the two small lines beyond the wall.

One is nineteen bricks high, about elbow height, and the upper (slanting) one is

twenty five bricks high, about shoulder level.

There is no "roofline" as the shed angles back away from the sidewalk behind the building,

although we can see a small fence, with a crossbar, which is visible in the

photo of the tarp shed................

The perspective lowers the suspected "shed roof" to about four feet high..........

(still wondering why the super high contrast version is so widespread)

good look at the glasses (or shadow of glasses) on the "Lansdale" character.

In this thread, 600 visits have been logged up to the time of writing . So far only one person has supported my contention that we are most certainly looking at the image of a make-shift screen, and not a metal shed. Remarkably, not a single person has questioned the fact that if it was indeed a screen,, then why was it necesssary to screen-off the area from public view. Likewise , my observation re seeing a crate being loaded onto the back of a tow-truck, has apparently been dismissed as being of little consequence. Not a peep from anyone on those particular aspects, but we'll see if the situation improves, and I assure you that I'll be returning to both considerations in due course. For the present, I wish to dispose of the following incredibily incomprehensible claim :

We read (quote) " .... the shed is visible right down top the pitch of the roof." .

That being the case, I am sure everyone would be delighted to have the question resolved once and for all, quite simply by viewing the actual 'pitch of the roof' , and seeing it so indicated by means of a coloured line having beeen applied to the image which I posted earlier, and which is once again presented below for that very purpose.

One need only look at the picture and simply visualize such a line, and it's immediately obvious that one cannot be looking at a pitched roof, since it would obscure what is already in view . Realizing that, and looking at a blowup of the pitched/angled line in the upper left side of the picture of the picture of the tramps, its not too difficult to conclude that one is viewing the image of an awning.. and that's precisely what was used to construct the screen.

The entire argument could have been dispensed with, if discussion had centered on what was /is really significant , namely my reporting seeing the crate being loaded. But then again, how many viewers who had the appropriate software even bothered to check it out for themselves? ... not more than a couple ! It's all depicted right there , and it's absolutely of vital significance, but nobody even questioned what I had described. As I said, I have been looking for something like this for many years... But we can get to that later..., that is , unless someone decides that it's now a flat-roofed metal shed. with a zero pitched roof.

Who messed with the tramp photo and why?

Jack

post-1084-1148362085_thumb.gif Jack, I see why you didn't respond to the Zfilm alteration question I put to you in another thread .... you must have been too busy working on this important find! Believe it or not ... I have actually seen that face before, thus I think I can end this mystery right now! (see clip)

Who messed with the tramp photo [by superimposing a face on the rifle butt] and why?
Gosh, that looks an awful lot like Jerry Garcia!!

I think this work can be traced back to whomever put the face of the Man on the Moon, pulled the "Old Man of the Mountain" trick, and decided that the constellations look like bears, bow-hunters and other artifacts that are best viewed through the judicious use of lysergic acid dithalymide.

"What a long, strange trip it's been!"
