  1. Thanks. Yeah, he doesn't sound very credible, but has anyone ever been able to prove for sure that he did or didn't live with Ferrie? It'd be an interesting look at Ferrie's character, even if all of his stories about the assassination are indeed just stories.
  2. I'd love to be able to go, unfortunately, it just doesn't seem possible. :\
  3. Wasn't this the bullet Files took credit for? I think it had teeth marks on it, which Files claimed was because he held it in his teeth while loading the weapon - but it could never be matched to his dental records because he'd had some work done since then, or something like that.
  4. I remember reading that Raymond Broshears shared an apartment with Ferrie in 1965, and remembered talking to Clay Shaw with Ferrie present several times. In August 1968, Broshears said on a Los Angeles tv program that Ferrie admitted to be involved with JFK's death, and that the actual assassins crashed off the coast of Corpus Christi and were killed. He also claims Ferrie told him that "no matter what," Ferrie would never kill himself. What evidence is there against him and these claims?
  5. I don't get any of it either, you'd think grown men & women could have a civil discussion without fighting like alley cats. The vast majority of this community has a severe flair for histrionics. The backyard photos, if real, mean that Oswald did own the rifle supposedly used to kill JFK, and the gun used to kill Tippit. It also implicated him as a Communist, as he was holding Communist literature.
  6. Don't let anyone drag you off of this case. A lot of people in this community are overly-dramatic, and you just have to ignore it, or you will never get anywhere.
  7. The gutter shot theory again? Well, have you ever looked into a storm drain? It's not very wide. Can you imagine getting someone in a firing stance in that teensy little space and still have them be able to concentrate enough on the task at hand? Even if JFK could be seen, like Ron Ecker said - JFK was dead by that point anyway.
  8. I don´t want you to change your opinion, but I´m curious to hear why you don´t believe what Files have said. Mark <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mark, you need to read (if you already hav'nt) the many debates that have already been had on this forum, concerning Mr Files. Its not that people dont want to debate this subject with you but, I suspect, many dont want to "Rehash" arguements long dormant. If you go to the forum index, you can easily find the relevant threads. Regards, Steve. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's what I was trying to say, thanks for getting it across in the words I couldn't find. :]
  9. I HAVE read about him, and watched the interviews with him. His body language implies he was lying, and there's not a single fact he can give that can't be easily debunked. I don't read one sentence and stamp "xxxx" across the person's forehead. I like knowing what I need to prove DIDN'T happen when I'm thinking, "Sigh, this person's just another sad conman." Look, I can't force you to "see the light" as it were, but not many people are going to take you seriously if all you contribute is the same Files garbage Wim pushed here before he either got kicked off or left. If you actually find a piece of evidence that can't be dismissed, something new, something you found on your own, maybe people will be easier on you. However, we've heard all this before, and rehashing it gets kind of pointless after a while. I'm really NOT trying to be mean here, I just want to warn you, that the majority of people here, aren't going to side with you on this theory short of video footage with Files narrating firing shots at JFK that synchs up perfectly with the Zapruder film.
  10. Ryan, Why should I forget about it? I don´t believe it´s a lie. To me Files is credible. Mark <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought the possibility of Files being credible was out there, too, when I first started researching it. After all, why would someone confess to something they didn't do? However, there is no dead-on evidence proving, or even SUGGESTING, any of Files' story is true. Saying you shot JFK is a surefire way to get lots of press, lots of attention, and no risk of jail time because the evidence is buried knee-deep under rumors, lies, twisted facts, and debunked theories that keep getting pulled back to the surface by new researchers that only know what Dankbaar tells them. I know, though, that Mr. Dankbaar really doesn't like me. Maybe he doesn't like being challenged by a teenager, or maybe he just dislikes that I believe respect should be earned ( so him being my elder doesn't automatically mean I'm going to pucker up to his rear ). Maybe he dislikes that I don't believe Files. Hell, I don't believe Judyth Baker either, and Nancy's never been rude to me. The Files & Baker theories are like the theory that Greer shot JFK. It's believed by a few, but most researchers here have discredited it.
  11. Oswald was considered intelligent in school, so I find it hard to believe he'd just commit to something without any idea on what it meant. He cared enough about it to move to Russia, why would he easily confuse two completely different viewpoints just to seem more, I don't know, defiant of the American standards? I'd expect that from today's thirteen year olds, not from someone of his age, that was considered intelligent.
  12. I don't want to sound rude, so please don't take it that way, but the Files theory is relatively ignored by most researchers now. Contradicting statements & lack of evidence, things like that. Maybe he was telling the truth, though. I guess nobody except Files really knows. He could be lying, but believe he's telling the truth.
  13. Is there any reason to believe there was a possible shot from behind Zapruder in the pergola? The openings were wide enough, enough cover for a potential diversion or actual shot. Has anyone ever taken a picture through the openings to see if JFK riding in the car could have been seen from that angle?
  14. If a guy was on a bathroom break when he was supposed to be keeping tabs on LHO pre-11-22, the CIA wouldn't release it because it's damning. Posner, McAdams, etc - are simply trying to gain credibility with wishy-washy people that haven't spent but a handful of hours looking into this case. If they look like they didn't go into research with an agenda, it equals more sales from Johnny WorkingMan & Mary Housewife because it looks like they did the job they were supposed to do. Sales equal money, and we all know how greedy this country is. George Joannides is DEFINITELY worth looking into, and it's a shame the government has their filthy little signatures on all the pages to block the spread of information. The NARA search shows only 12 documents relating to him but the first 4 are all HSCA business.
  15. Alright, thanks for the information. :] I'm not sure if he was involved or not, but at this point in time, very VERY few people can be completely ruled out in my mind. It's been 42 years, and we still don't know as much as we should. To quote a horror movie, "EVERYBODY'S A SUSPECT!" This case is like a giant jigsaw puzzle. You get a nice cluster of evidence & testimony to fit, and then you pick up one piece from outside your group, and it doesn't fit anywhere. Anyone that's ever testified to being involved or knowing who was involved, has to be seen with some degree of speculation as to their motives, because claiming to be involved in the assasination of JFK is a dead-on way to get your name all over the internet, in countless books, and on the minds of several thousand people. It's like instant fame, and there's so many pieces of evidence that not many of these people can be proved as a xxxx beyond the benefit of a doubt.
  16. According to the local Prison Museum, he's still there. They have one of his boots on display. Maybe they're wrong, but you'd think they'd update their "currently incarcerated HERE" point of view if he was in Illinois.
  17. Haven't posted here in what seems like forever, haven't had much to say.. But I was driving past the Huntsville prison where Harrelson is currently serving time, and began to wonder. Is he completely worthless as far as a possible interview goes? I don't know of any local regulations that'd prohibit me from visiting him after my 18th birthday ( 22 days, woo ), unless they've slammed on some annoying family-only issue under my nose.. So, is it a waste of time? False lead? Just curious on everyone's opinions..
  18. I think there's the snippet in the Beyond Conspiracy "documentary" hosted by Peter Jennings show, which is available on DVD, but I could be wrong.
  19. I hadn't heard much detail about this before and had previously just disregarded it as rumor, but it sure looks interesting. GEE, I sure WONDER why this wasn't investigated in the ALL-KNOWING Warren Report? A Secret Service man dies on the same day as the President and it's not worth going into detail over? Please.
  20. I've seen this brought up before.. And, "Oswald's lover" - or rather, the woman who claims she was, is Judyth Baker.
  21. I don't think Ruth Paine was near as into it as several researches do - I've spent most of my research time lately reading over her testimonies and comments, and she says she was outside talking to her neighbor when her other neighbor came over and they were talking about LHO's difficulty finding work, and this 2nd neighbor said he heard the TSBD had been hiring, so she called up the TSBD and checked with Roy Truly to see if they were hiring, and if she could get LHO the interview. So, as much has been made of her getting him the job, it doesn't seem a bit sinister to me.
  22. My grandmother told me she remembers watching television on 11-21 and looking at Lady Bird and commenting to my grandfather, "She'd do just about anything to be First Lady." It's simply amusing that Lady Bird has no problem placing the blame on LHO's name ( even though he was never proven guilty ), yet whines when the same is done to her husband ( claiming that it's unfair to label him as he was never proven guilty ). It's almost like she's scared for her title to be stripped away.
  23. From 11-21. You can't get a look of the driver, so who knows if it was Greer.
  24. I would post my original badgeman discovery, but I have reached the limit of images allowed by the forum. Jack White <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You can upload photos for free to Photobucket.com or ImageShack.us just so you know. :]
  25. Thanks Richard. And, according to the Dallas City Hall website, the Texas Theater still stands: http://www.dallascityhall.com/dallas/eng/h...as_theater.html And, this news article talks about the restoration after a fire in '95: http://wirelessreview.com/ar/marketing_fea...rrest_breathes/ And, yes, James, it was owned by Howard Hughes.
