  2. Summary of program from coasttocoastam website of Sept. 15, 2016: Date: Wednesday - September 14, 2016 Host: George Noory Guests: Ed Haslam, Open Lines Former advertising executive Ed Haslam discussed the complicated story of Lee Harvey Oswald before the JFK assassination and his summer of secrets - the five months he spent in New Orleans in 1963 as an agent of both the CIA and the Mob, while getting money from the FBI. He also detailed how this relates to the 1964 murder of a cancer researcher, Dr. Mary Sherman, the contamination of the polio vaccine, and our current cancer epidemic. Sherman's work mutating monkey viruses for a cancer vaccine may have been co-opted into a secret bioweapons project, and it appears that Oswald worked on this mission, and may have been tasked with unleashing this kind of weapon on Fidel Castro, Haslam reported. There is clear evidence that Oswald was an intelligence operative not the "lone nut" portrayed by accusers in the JFK case, he continued, outlining some of the intertwined players on the New Orleans scene: In his first week in New Orleans, Oswald intercepted science student Judith Vary Baker at the post office and spoke in Russian to her. The following day he introduced her to David Ferrie (implicated by Jim Garrison in the JFK assassination) and they discussed Mary Sherman, who then showed up at a party at Ferrie's house, a few days later. Oswald was killed in front of a police station after the JFK assassination in order to silence him, as he could have revealed many secrets as to who was behind the conspiracy, as well as details about the bioweapon project, Haslam argued. He further conjectured that Oswald was initially brought back into the US by Bobby Kennedy, the Attorney General at the time, so that he could spy on the Mafia for him. Haslam, along with George Noory, and other guests including Jim Marrs, and Judith Vary Baker will be appearing at the upcoming Lee Harvey Oswald Conference in October in New Orleans.
  3. Joe: I was too late in getting back to the local ACLU to get a ticket to tonight's premier. Could you post tomorrow your assessment of the Snowden film and the presentation that followed it? I am certain the forum would find it of great interest.

  9. Comments on Facebook about this article on Sept. 12, 2016: Tom Huston: “All of the CIA assistance of Hunt and the White House came during the second half of 1971, when President Richard Nixon was exerting pressure on the agency to turn over its records on the failed Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba in 1961. The meeting between Karamessines and Hunt came a week after Helms met Nixon at the White House. Nixon intended to fire Helms for his lack of cooperation on the Bay of Pigs file, but, as I wrote in Nixon’s Gamble, Nixon caved in and vowed to protect the CIA.” This is not the sort of reasoning that is likely to lead to a big breakthrough in our understanding of Watergate. First, there is no evidence that the CIA assistance had anything to do with the President’s obsession with the Bay of Pigs. The evidence points to three reasons why assistance was limited to the second half of 1971: (1) the Pentagon Papers release in June triggered the formation of the Plumbers and the subsequent perceived need for CIA assistance; (2) Hunt the CIA operative was hired by Chuck Colson to work at the White House in July and assigned to work with the Plumbers unit; and (3) by December the Plumbers had been demobilized as a result of the blundered break-in of Dr. Fielding’s office. Second, it takes far more than correlation of timing to link the Karamessines-Hunt and Nixon-Helms meetings. Unless you have evidence that the purposes of the meetings or, more significantly, the subjects discussed at the meetings bear on one another, all you really have are two meetings which involved CIA. On the basis of what is apparently known, there is no evidentiary support for a conclusion that the Karamessines-Hunt meeting involved Hunt’s work at the White House or was tied to the President’s interest in the Bay of Pigs. Perhaps more digging will turn up some credible evidence on this matter. Even journalists ought to be held to a higher evidentiary standard than surmise. Third, tying Nixon’s obsessive desire to have access to the CIA files on the Bay of Pigs operation to the role of CIA personnel in events leading up to Watergate break-in is more likely to obscure than illuminate the institutional incentives for CIA to use Hunt and his people as assets in the advancement of its bureaucratic interests. Nixon had been after the CIA files on the Bay of Pigs and the Diem coup since at least September of 1969 when I was asked to look into both matters. Nixon thought both events were foreign policy disasters that, having occurred on John Kennedy’s watch, had not received the public scrutiny they deserved (that is, had not diminished JFK’s reputation). A review of the WH tape transcripts for the period following the publication of the Pentagon Papers demonstrates his frustration at the inability to get his hands on these records. While this is an interesting subject, I believe it has little to do with what was driving Helms and the CIA in that period. In my view, Colson’s hiring of Hunt was an unexpected windfall for CIA and one Helms was too experienced an operative not to exploit. It is easy to let the conventional anti-Nixon narrative influence the pursuit and weighing of evidence. CIA consciously set out after the break-in to conceal its involvement in the events leading up to it, and the only way to break through that concealment is to look at the evidence with fresh eyes and an open mind. Like · Reply · 17 hrs .. Ray Locker Ray Locker I agree. I only meant in this section to reflect that the president was pressuring the CIA at this time, and Helms didn't like it. I think Hunt was informing the agency of what he was doing and it coincided with a period when the president was trying to get them to give him more information they didn't want to give up. 11. Chris: I must defer to more knowledgeable members of the forum for the answer to your question about Oswald being seen in the company of a CIA supervisor in Dallas a few days prior to JFK's assassination.
  12. Chris: This description is published under the YouTube video: Published on May 18, 2016 Richard A. Sprague was the first chief counsel of the House Select Committee on Assassinations. He discusses the Yablonsky murder case and some others, but this is the full extent of his remarks on the JFK case. Uploaded on Nov 10, 2010 It was a tour de force. Richard A. Sprague, L'53, grand inquisitor, fierce competitor and Philadelphia's preeminent trial lawyer, gave a lecture at Penn Law in March 2009 that seemed more like a clinic on how to prosecute a murder case. Making the classroom his courtroom, he recounted the hard investigative work, the skillful presentation of witnesses and the courtroom choreography that leads to conviction. In short, he killed. Speaking to a capacity crowd attending an installment in the Dean's Speakers Series, Sprague ranged over his 50-year career, recalling his lead role in everything from a test of the insanity defense to a congressional investigation of the Kennedy assassination to the murder of Joseph "Jock" Yablonski by United Mine Workers president Tony Boyle. 15. Joseph McBride wrote on Facebook today (Sunday): I will be talking about the murder of Dallas Police Officer J. D. Tippit (the "Rosetta Stone" of the events of November 22, 1963) this evening (Sunday) with host Bob Wilson on his Antennae Radio show on Debbie Scott's Radio Network. My segment of the show begins about 8 p.m., Eastern time, with a song or two before we talk. We will discuss my research into the Tippit murder for my book INTO THE NIGHTMARE: MY SEARCH FOR THE KILLERS OF PRESIDENT JOHN F. KENNEDY AND OFFICER J. D. TIPPIT (2013), including my finding that Tippit and another officer were assigned by the DPD to hunt down Lee Harvey Oswald before Oswald's identity was officially known to the police, how Tippit drove into a police ambush, and why Oswald was not guilty of killing him. We will also discuss the continuing controversies surrounding the case and recent developments in it. https://www.spreaker.com/sh/bob-wilsons-antennae-radio-show
  16. Michael, with all due respect, Thomas Graves over the years has provided an incredible amount of information and knowledge about Kennedy's assassination in his over 5000 posts in our forum. He is neither naïve nor gullible. You, he and I, along with the other members of the forum, are trying our best to construct the definitive account of what happened in 1963 in Dallas and in the orchestrated cover-up that followed. Each of us has something to contribute in this endeavor. We are doing this because JFK's assassination was a major turning point in American and world history and affects everyone to this day.

  21. Judyth Baker posted the following information on Facebook today: FILMED YEARS AGO: only a few words need correcting in this long and informative film by former Dutch intelligence officer Wim Dankbaar (such as Ed Haslam saying Lee and I left Reily the same day...they actually put an ad for me to leave the same day Lee was fired there... also, in this film I say Lee was going to meet "Bishop" David Atlee Phillips--in Mexico City, and I've never said anything different, but the Product itself was supposed to be handed over to a medical contact from Cuba... Phillips was supposed to have been present or would soon meet Lee at the time of the handoff or right afterwards......instead, Phillips had exited Mexico City days earlier by plane, leaving Lee to dry out in the wind when the medical contact didn't show. Lee was in the terrible position of not knowing what to do next. He knew that if we could eliminate Castro, the focus on killing JFK would turn to taking over Cuba. I now understand that abandoning Lee to "act on his own" is just what was intended--so Lee would make some moves that would leave him open to suspicion and make him seem like he was working for Castro, as he did try to enter Cuba himself, even though he knew he'd almost certainly be turned down because he was opting for a transit visa--to go through Cuba on the way to Russia--for you do NOT want to stay in the country where you're trying to deliver material that is designed to kill the leader of that country! This is the real reason Lee applied for a transit visa at the Cuban Consulate in Mexico City. If it had been his original reason for going to Mexico City, he would have been prepared for such an attempt. But he wasn't. We can prove that, because Lee didn't have any passport photos with him. An experienced traveler, he knew, of course, that to get a visa from the USSR or a transit visa to go through Cuba on the way to the USSR, he'd have to affix his photos to the applications. But Lee was not prepared to make an application for a Cuban transit visa, which is why it's on record that he went to a photo store and had passport photos made for the transit visa's application form. This helps prove Lee was unprepared --not stupid, as the Warren Commission tried to make it seem-- for this attempt. t also proves that Lee was willing to risk his life to try to complete his assignment. These activities at the Cuban Consulate, and possibly at the Russian Embassy, exposed Lee, whose presence, otherwise, would not even have been noticed in Mexico City --which is just what the CIA wanted. This film states much of what you can later see in THE LOVE AFFAIR. That documentary was filmed for the History Channel. Many small details, of course, were edited out of both versions. This film features James Files, convincingly, I might add, though I retain some reservations due to some remarks Files has made that don't match what I know. However, the right 'bad guys' are against Files. Here is an example: the cartridge shown with its 'dash' on the end was supposedly debunked. BUT WAS IT REALLY? The debunker got his 'evidence' from an anonymous person who 'found' his 'evidence' (WHICH THE DEBUNKER RELEASED IN THE FORM OF AN UNNECESSARILY POOR COPY OF THE CARTRIDGE'S DESIGN SHEET, WHEN HE HAD RESOURCES TO MAKE A CLEAR COPY)...The poorly copied design sheet shows dates when the cartridge designs were changed -- including a dot where the dash was on the end-- but this poor copy nevertheless contains marks of alteration marks of alteration (!) that even very poor copying couldn't totally hide. The debunker got his piece of 'evidence' from an anonymous person who found it, he said, in a Remington trash bin --conveniently soon after the Remington expert retired there, who had held the opinion that the cartridge was made before 1971. Similarly, we must wonder why James Files has been ignored by the US government concerning his claims, with 'evidence' against him appropriately just as suspicious and subjective. Whatever your opinion on Files, this film gives Files his day in court. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjMJOdMXqdg
